Garry Rogers Motorsport Combine 2024: In January 2024, Garry Rogers Motorsport will continue with the Combine program aimed at young people. This well-known four-day teaching event takes place in Tasmania. Marcos Ambrose, a two-time Supercars winner, is a big fan of the event. The fact that Ambrose is part of the program and has won NASCAR Cup Series races gives it a huge boost. The program aims to teach young drivers how to use high-tech racing equipment.
Since it started in 2022, the Combine program has not only helped young racers, but it has also grown to help four young technicians. Under the Garry Rogers Motorsport umbrella, these trainees were the only ones who got to work directly with race cars. The fact that these mechanics were accepted into the program means another group of apprentices will gain from it in 2024.
People like Tom Hayman, who made news when he won the Trans Am Queensland Raceway event, have participated in this immersive experience. Campbell Logan, who is currently second in the Toyota 86 Series, and Clay Richards, who has won races, are two more examples of how well-known the program is. Kody Garland and Edan Thornburrow went to the 2022 Combine, and now they are well-known TCR and Trans Am drivers for GRM.
Tom Hayman stressed how the Combine changed him when he talked about how much he learned from his time there. He said, “The GRM Combine helped me improve my skills on and off the track. The whole process, from learning how to be a professional to understanding complicated data, has greatly improved my performance in the 2023 season.
But what sparked the idea for this project? Barry Rogers, who works for Garry Rogers Motorsport, gives some advice. “The GRM Combine is the result of both my father Garry’s and Marcos Ambrose’s love for young people and the world of motorsport,” he said. Barry was very happy to talk about everything the program offered, from unmatched motorsport knowledge to a complete look at the future of professional racing. He explained more about the 2023 extension that added motors and said, “This addition was a huge success. These mechanics were used in the exact and high-pressure world of getting race cars ready.
Barry’s voice fills with pride when he talks about the successes of the Combine. “It’s great to see how much our participants have grown and changed in just two years,” he said with a smile. Fans can mark January 21–25, 2024, on their calendars for the next version. The Combine will be held at Symmons Plains and Baskerville Raceway, both well-known tracks in Tasmania.
This interactive project shows Garry Rogers Motorsport is serious about bringing up new talent. The program offers a brighter, better-equipped future for motorsport by focusing on development in all areas, from how to drive to how things work. The Combine doesn’t just make racers; it also makes motorsport professionals who are ready to face the changing difficulties of the racing world.
