Sara Price: Conquering Dakar’s Desert Gauntlet in Off-Road Majesty

An American off-road star, Sara Price left her mark on the 2024 Dakar Rally with a strong performance. The 15-day trip, which starts on January 5 in Saudi Arabia, will test how healthy vehicles can handle rough desert conditions.

Price is a master of many types of racing, including Trophy Trucks, UTVs, and motocross. She put in a lot of work to plan her way to the top of off-road racing, and she had already won several races before this scary one.

Price won the tough Road to Dakar task, which the A.S.O., the brilliant Dakar Rally organizer, permitted him to do this dangerous job. This success was a sign of how determined and driven Price was.

Price will drive a CanAm Maverick X3 with BFGoodrich tires over Saudi Arabia’s rough sands in the competitive T4 Category. She has hired Jeremy Gray, a senior navigator who helped her win the Sonora Rally, to help her get through the confusing dunes and dangerous terrain. Before going into the heat of Dakar, Price and Gray will practice at Rallye du Maroc from October 12 to 18. This is where the FIA World Rally-Raid championship started.

Price said, “The Dakar Rally has been on my list of things to do since I started driving off-road. This is the top of motorsports. I promised to train hard for the 2024 race this year, and now my dream is coming true. I am more ready than ever to put America’s name in the history of this much-loved race.

Gray, Price’s guide, agreed, saying, “Winning the 2023 Sonora Rally was the beginning of our glory symphony. Sara has asked me to be in charge of our Rallye du Maroc plans, and I’m looking forward to our team’s trip to Dakar.

The 46th Dakar Rally will be held in the mountains of Saudi Arabia. It will bring together 820 racers from 68 different countries. Throughout a prologue, 12 challenging stages, and two weeks, these brave people will race about 6000 kilometres. Make a note of the dates January 5–19, 2024.

SaraPriceMX.com and her social media sites let Price’s fans follow her to the Dakar Rally and cheer her on for being brave.

Sara Price, the loyal owner of SP Motorsports, has been riding dirt bikes since she was eight. She won 19 amateur races and placed third in the Women’s Super X event at the 2010 X Games. Price was named the 2016 Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame Rising Star. After an excellent motocross career, she became Monster Energy Kawasaki’s first factory-backed female racer.

Price’s change to four-wheeling in 2012 was exciting. Her main goal was to race UTVs in the Lucas Oil Regional Shortcourse and WORCS events. She was the first American UTV team to participate in Morocco’s Rallye Acha Des Gazelles. She didn’t lose a single race in the Women’s and Terracross Championships.
