Reece Gold, a 19-year-old racing star from sunny Florida, is back behind the wheel for his second season in the exciting Indy NXT by Firestone series, and it looks like a fast ride.
In 2022, this young driver with Juncos Hollinger Racing came in second in the Indy Pro 2000 by Cooper Tires championship, which was a great result. Everyone was interested in this. Now, he is getting ready for another great year with HMD Motorsports.
It’s almost like being there in person. Gold started with a different team in the Indy NXT series, but after two races, he moved to HMD Motorsports. He won his second race with the team that won the championship in Detroit.

“I feel right at home with the team,” says Gold of HMD Motorsports. “My driving skills have gone to the next level with the help of the team. I can’t wait until 2024 to try to get on more podiums, win more races, and win the Indy NXT championship.”
Not only Gold is going on this exciting trip. Myles Rowe, who won the Indy Pro 2000 race 2018, has joined HMD Motorsports for the 2024 season. The group is putting together a dream team that could take over racing.
Mike Maurini, who is in charge of HMD Motorsports, couldn’t be happier with how Gold is doing. “As the season went on, Reece made a lot of progress,” said Maurini. “I’ve known him since he was in karting, and he’s a rising star who can win at any level. We hope that Reece will continue to do well in 2024.”
