Korthoff Motorsports Rebrands: Unveiling Korthoff Preston Motorsports

Korthoff Motorsports Rebrands: The well-known IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship team Korthoff Motorsports is now called Korthoff Preston Motorsports. This complete rebranding was done before this weekend’s “Battle on the Bricks” race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which is a big deal.

Since 2022, this race team has been called Korthoff Motorsports. They will bring the GTD champion Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo to continue their car trip.

Along this change path, the team name is getting a fun new name. The team’s character has changed a lot for the third time. “Gilbert Korthoff Motorsports” began in 2021 when the team joined the WeatherTech Championship. It fought for that title until well-known race team owner Henry Gilbert quit this fast-paced sport last year.

Walter Preston was the team’s tireless boss and a racing master for over 50 years. Korthoff Preston Racing is an excellent way to honor him.

The background of Herb Korthoff’s group changed because Walter Preston was in charge. He spent a long time working for JDC-Miller Motorsports and helped them win the 2021 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. It was a big win that made waves in the history of auto racing.

At Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the No. 32 car will be driven by Mike Skeen and Mikael Grenier, a contract driver for Mercedes-AMG. These track giants have won two class wins this season, which shows how tough they are. People still talk about how they won at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and Road America.

In the close GTD results, Skeen and Grenier are still in sixth place. They were 755 points behind the other teams. As the end of the race draws near, Madison Snow and Bryan Sellers, who drive the No. 1 Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3, are in the lead.
