Fan-Controlled Racing: In a groundbreaking move, NASCAR’s Xfinity Series is set to revolutionize the fan experience by introducing a fan-controlled car at Phoenix Raceway on November 4th, in collaboration with Fan Controlled Sports & Entertainment (FCSE).
FCSE, known for its Fan Controlled Football (FCF), is spearheading this innovative venture into NASCAR under the banner of Fan Controlled Racing (FCR). Through the Control App, available on iOS or Android, fans will have the power to make crucial decisions, ranging from selecting the driver to determining live race strategies. This interactive platform allows fans to influence pivotal moments in the race, such as when to pit and which lane to choose after a restart.
“We couldn’t be more excited about bringing the energy and interactivity of Fan Controlled Sports to the racetrack,” expressed FCSE co-founder Patrick Dees. “This will be the first of many live race experiences where fans get to call the shots, help determine the strategy, and be a part of the race team.”
The fan engagement doesn’t stop there. Through the Control App, fans will earn Fan Experience Points (FanXP) and climb the leaderboard for their team. The top fans each week will have the opportunity to feature their picture on the front of the car. Additionally, fans can win coveted VIP pit and garage passes.
The excitement culminates in the championship race at Phoenix Raceway, which will be broadcast on USA Network and NBC Sports. FCSE plans to enhance the fan experience further by producing a watch party-style stream on its app and key social platforms, hosted by racing celebrities and experts.
