Josh Bilicki Pays Tribute to Kevin Harvick’s Retirement

Josh Bilicki Pays Tribute: In the wake of Kevin Harvick’s final start in the Cup Series championship race at Phoenix Raceway, fellow NASCAR driver Josh Bilicki shared a heartfelt tribute to the veteran racer. Bilicki, who drove the #78 Live Fast Motorsports Chevy on a part-time basis this season, had the opportunity to share the track with Harvick in ten races throughout the year.

Reflecting on the end of an era, Bilicki took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his sentiments about Harvick’s retirement. “Yesterday was the end of an era with @KevinHarvick’s final Cup Series race,” he wrote. Kevin was the last driver still competing full-time from the era of NASCAR that I grew up watching as a young child.

Bilicki cherished the moments he spent racing alongside Harvick, particularly on road courses, where their paths often crossed. “Over the last few years, it felt like KH and I always found each other on the road courses. Been a pleasure sharing the track with you! Enjoy the next chapter of your life…” he concluded in his emotional tribute.

Following Harvick’s final race, tributes poured in from the NASCAR community, acknowledging the contributions he made both on and off the track. Harvick, who finished seventh in his last race, expressed a sense of relief as he hung up his racing boots. Despite going winless in his final season, he commended Stewart-Haas Racing and everyone involved for their decade-long journey together.

“I’m just proud of everybody at Stewart-Haas Racing, everybody that works on this car and has worked on this car for a long time,” Harvick stated. “I’ve just got to thank all the fans and NASCAR and my family and everybody for all of their support. It’s been a great ride, and I can’t complain.”

As ‘The Closer’ bids farewell to the racetrack, his absence will undoubtedly leave a significant void in the Cup Series garage, marking the end of an illustrious career in NASCAR.
