Xfinity 500
The Xfinity 500 is a historic NASCAR Cup Series race held annually at Martinsville Speedway, Virginia, since 1949, making it the oldest race on the NASCAR calendar. Traditionally run in the fall, it is the ninth race in the Cup Series playoffs and the final race of the Round of 8. The event features a unique tradition where the winner receives a custom-made grandfather clock. Initially starting early afternoon to avoid darkness, the race now finishes at night following the installation of track lights in 2017. It has been broadcast by NBC since 2015.
