Expressing similar concerns, current Cup Series driver Denny Hamlin didn’t mince words. In an episode of the Actions Detrimental podcast, Hamlin echoed Earnhardt Jr.’s sentiments but in a more pointed manner. He criticized NASCAR’s focus on cost reduction potentially leading to even slower cars.
