Jeff Gordon Drives Against Cancer: Win a Corvette for a Cause

Jeff Gordon Drives Against Cancer: A ride down the streets in NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon’s fresh-out-the-box Corvette – boasting a 6.2-liter V9 engine, an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and a quick 0-60 miles per hour pickup in just 2.9 seconds – sounds nothing short of thrilling. But guess what? That thrill could serve a noble cause: combating childhood cancer.

Ever since Gordon’s debut season in the Cup Series, where his crew chief’s young son battled leukemia, he’s been on a mission against pediatric cancer through the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation.

Raising over an impressive $25 million since its inception, the foundation aims to tackle childhood cancer, the leading disease-related cause of death among kids.

The harsh reality? Only a meager 4% of the National Cancer Institute’s budget is allocated to curing pediatric cancer. Yet, in an effort to support this vital cause, Jeff Gordon is generously giving away a 70th-anniversary edition Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible.

This sweepstake, open from October 5th, 2023, till December 28th, 2023, accepts entries nationwide from both the USA and Canada (excluding Quebec). Participation is possible with or without a donation, fostering an inclusive approach to support the cause.

In a monumental partnership aimed at cancer combat, The V Foundation for Cancer Research, an esteemed cancer research charity, has joined hands with Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation (JGCF). Together, they co-sponsor three All-Star Grant awards, each valued at a million dollars, solely dedicated to pediatric cancer research.

Jeff Gordon expressed hope for a future where cancer isn’t the primary disease-related cause of death among kids. “Until then,” he emphasized, “our partnership with the V Foundation marks an exciting step forward in this race against cancer.”

Shane Jacobson, CEO of The V Foundation, echoed Gordon’s enthusiasm, expressing his pride in aligning with “another dedicated organization” towards advancing research in this crucial domain. Jacobson highlighted how these three All-Star Grants will fast-track their mission, propelling them closer to triumphing over cancer and, ultimately, saving young lives.
