Maintaining a robust outlook for his racing career, Wallace is slated to participate next month in the National Dirt race tournament for his enduring sponsor, JEGS performance, steering the #36 car at Gateway. Announcing the event, the NASCAR Hall of Famer shared on X, “December 14-15-16 downtown St. Louis Missouri. We race the @JEGSPerformance DIRT car inside the DOME with the @GatewayDirt.” Chris Rice, President of Kaulig Racing, reciprocated with a warm retweet, hinting at Wallace’s impressive legacy and unwavering passion for the sport, expressing, “Can I come help?? I can do tires!!”
From his humble beginnings in race shops, where he served as a mechanic for his father and brother’s teams, Wallace’s NASCAR journey owes much to the legendary Dale Earnhardt. The 1986 American Speed Association Rookie of the Year received guidance from Earnhardt in 1988.
His debut at Martinsville driving the #8 GM Goodwrench Chevy showcased his skill, securing an 11th-place finish in impressive style.
