Toyota Next Gen Camry XSE Unveiled for 2024 NASCAR Season

Toyota Next Gen Camry XSE Unveiled: Toyota unveiled the upcoming debut of the freshly designed NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) Toyota Camry XSE race car set to hit the tracks in the 2024 NCS season. This new iteration, the Camry XSE Next Gen, follows the successful stint of the Toyota Camry TRD Next Gen, which secured 18 victories and 25 poles over the last two seasons.

Collaborating closely, Toyota, TRD (Toyota Racing Development, U.S.A.), and Calty Design meticulously replicated the body styling of the recently unveiled 2025 Toyota Camry XSE. The new features of the Toyota Camry race car boast a distinctive hammerhead styling on the front fascia, integrating an upper grille slot with the updated slim and wide headlights.

Adding to its allure, the larger lower grille area showcases C-shaped corner vents, while the hood presents fresh character lines and newly designed hood duct exits. At the rear, revised quarter panel styling and chamfered bumper corners blend seamlessly into the rear bumper, complemented by updated, sleeker taillights, giving the new Camry race car an enhanced, sculpted appearance.

Paul Doleshal, the group manager of motorsports at TMNA (Toyota Motor North America), expressed enthusiasm, stating, “The 2024 Camry XSE race car will truly highlight Toyota’s meticulous attention to detail, as showcased in the new street version Toyota Camry. We are eager to introduce this car on the race track and continue achieving success with it for years ahead.” He credited the collaborative efforts of TRD and Calty Design for creating a premier vehicle poised for wins and championships.

Toyota maintains its distinctive position in NASCAR, showcasing three nameplates across the national series – the Camry in the NCS, the GR Supra in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS), and the Tundra TRD Pro in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS). Since joining the NCS and NXS in 2007, Toyota has amassed 180 NCS wins and three championships, alongside 201 NXS victories and four NXS titles. Its entry into the NCTS in 2004 brought 228 wins and nine Truck Series championships.

David Wilson, president of TRD, emphasized Toyota’s commitment to continuous improvement in NASCAR, stating, “The Camry XSE race car reflects our dedication to continual enhancement on and off the race track. As we gear up for the 2024 season, we are eager to collaborate with our race team partners to optimize the performance of this newly-designed vehicle, maintaining our legacy of excellence with the Camry nameplate.”

The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season will witness the addition of LEGACY MOTOR CLUB, introducing eight Toyota Camry XSE’s competing each weekend. This begins with the Clash at the Coliseum exhibition race in Los Angeles, California, in February.
