zMAX Joins Forces with CARS Tour: The CARS Tour Late Model Series gears up for its milestone 10th season as the go-to asphalt late model series in the Southeast, showcasing a surge of expansion and enhancements.
Today, the ownership squad featuring racing stalwarts Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Burton, Kevin Harvick, and Justin Marks disclosed the significant addition of zMAX® as the series’ new headline sponsor for the upcoming 2024 season and beyond. Alongside this announcement, the consortium unveiled the 2024 zMAX CARS Tour schedule and reaffirmed FloRacing as the exclusive streaming partner for all 19 slated events.
Harvick emphasized, “Our focus this year has been elevating the established CARS Tour and nurturing regional asphalt racing. The partnership with a revered brand like zMAX significantly bolsters the stature and professionalism of the zMAX CARS Tour.”
Produced in Harrisburg, N.C., zMAX Micro-lubricant® finds application in diverse vehicles and equipment, reducing carbon buildup, lubricating critical components, and extending engine longevity. A prominent figure in various motorsports like NASCAR, NHRA, and USAC, the zMAX product line stands out. Speedway Motorsports’ Oil-Chem Research Corporation manufactures zMAX, underscoring Speedway Motorsports’ commitment to motorsports entertainment.
Marcus Smith, president and CEO of Speedway Motorsports, added, “A zMAX collaboration with the CARS Tour signifies a grassroots dedication to fostering future racers and fans in motorsports. We extend gratitude to Dale, Kevin, Jeff, and Justin for this alliance. We eagerly anticipate showcasing zMAX’s presence from the garage to the stands and are thrilled about the CARS Tour’s return to North Wilkesboro Speedway in 2024.
For the second consecutive season, all 19 zMAX CARS Tour events will be streamed live on FloRacing. The subscription-based platform, declared the official streaming partner earlier this year, is committed to nurturing grassroots motorsports.
Michael Rigsby, General Manager of FloRacing, affirmed, “CARS has undoubtedly risen as the premier asphalt short track tour in the U.S., and we’re thrilled to welcome the series back to FloRacing. Dale and the entire CARS team’s dedication to the growth of short track pavement racing is evident. The upcoming 2024 season is poised to be monumental for CARS, and we’re enthusiastic to be a part of it.”
Moreover, the newly labeled zMAX CARS Tour unveiled its 2024 season schedule. The action commences at Southern National Motorsports Park in Kenly, N.C., on Saturday, March 2, featuring Pro Late Models, followed by the Late Model Stock Car division a week later on March 9.
Earnhardt Jr. reflected, “There’s plenty to unpack and anticipate this season – with two North Wilkesboro runs and the addition of Orange County to the lineup. It’s set to be a thrilling contest for drivers and a treat for fans in the stands, as well as those tuning in on FloRacing. Our collaboration with FloRacing has been instrumental in generating exposure and buzz around the zMAX CARS Tour. I’m eager to carry that forward.”
An exciting highlight in the series schedule includes consecutive races for PLM and LMSC at North Wilkesboro Speedway on May 14-15. Finally, the zMAX CARS Tour finale on Oct. 19 at the .625-mile short track will witness the crowning of the series champions.
