Jeff Hensley Joins TRICON: TRICON Garage (TRICON) has made an exciting announcement, welcoming experienced Crew Chief Jeff Hensley to lead the No. 17 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro piloted by Taylor Gray in the upcoming 2024 season.
Hensley brings a wealth of expertise from his tenure in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS), transitioning from a successful stint at GMS Racing. Notably, he achieved significant accomplishments alongside Grant Enfinger, culminating in a commendable runner-up finish in the 2023 point standings.
At 61 years old, Hensley boasts an impressive career record, securing 33 NASCAR victories. His portfolio includes 11 Xfinity Series wins and 22 triumphs in the Truck Series since redirecting his focus towards the series in 2001. Demonstrating adaptability, Hensley navigated his drivers through the NASCAR Playoffs format’s evolution in 2016, facilitating five playoff appearances and earning two spots in the Championship Four.
Taylor Gray, in his inaugural season as a Toyota Development Driver, displayed a noteworthy surge in performance. The rookie campaign concluded with three top-fives and six top-10 finishes, highlighted by an impressive second-place result at Kansas Speedway on September 8.
The collaborative efforts of Hensley and Gray will be showcased for the first time as the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series commences its season at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway on Friday, February 16. Fans can catch the race live on FOX Sports 1, while radio coverage will be provided by the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
