NASCAR Mexico Series Makes History: The NASCAR Mexico Series, established in 2004, holds a distinguished place in NASCAR’s international ventures, earning recognition as the first series authorized by NASCAR on a global scale within a mere three years of its inception. However, its trajectory has been marked by fluctuations, notably facing suspension after the 2015 season to accommodate the hosting of the Formula 1 Grand Prix, only to return to full-time action from 2017 onward.
In a remarkable turn of events, the NASCAR Mexico Series has secured an unprecedented achievement by securing a title sponsor from a prominent Mexican business ahead of the Busch Light Clash at the L.A. Coliseum in February 2024. Set to precede the season-opening Busch Light Clash, the NASCAR Mexico Series race at the LA Memorial Coliseum will be backed by King Taco as its title sponsor, titled as “King Taco La Batalla en El Coliseo” (King Taco The Battle at the Coliseum). This marks the inaugural appearance of a Mexico Series race on Californian tracks, as per the reports.
Expressing enthusiasm about this collaboration, NASCAR’s senior vice president of racing development and strategy, Ben Kennedy, highlighted the significance of King Taco’s representation of the rich Mexican heritage prevalent in Southern California. Kennedy added, “We’re thrilled to partner with a local restaurant chain of such cultural significance to showcase the exhilarating racing of the NASCAR Mexico Series at the Coliseum.”
However, amidst the excitement, confusion arose among fans regarding the event’s streaming details.
The integration of the NASCAR Mexico Series and NASCAR Cup Series at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum has sparked intrigue within the racing community. With the race on the horizon.

Attendees can also opt for an upgrade to the NASCAR Pre-Race Party, granting track walk access, exclusive on-track photo opportunities, brunch, cocktails, musical entertainment, and surprise guest appearances, as per reports.
