Amidst the intense Martinsville race, Almirola showcased his veteran skills, navigating the challenging 0.526-mile paperclip-shaped short track with finesse. In an electrifying finish that included overtime, Almirola emerged triumphant, adding another thrilling chapter to the Xfinity Series season.
After his victory at Martinsville, Aric Almirola soared in the Xfinity Series standings, leaping from 19th to 11th place with a total of 160 points, earning him 59 points for his victory. Meanwhile, Chandler Smith maintained his stronghold at the top with a solid third-place finish, bagging 37 points and holding onto his leading position with 302 points and two wins, boasting a 35-point lead over Cole Custer.
Sam Mayer’s impressive runner-up performance in the DUDE Wipes 250 propelled him from 20th to 16th place in the standings, amassing 42 points for a total of 139. Brandon Jones, despite starting on pole, faced disappointment as he finished 27th, securing only 14 points, placing him 14th on the leaderboard with 154 points.
