Jesse Love, the emerging driver for Richard Childress Racing, will compete in two more NASCAR Cup Series races for RCR this season, participating at both Kansas Speedway and Richmond Raceway. This announcement, made by Richard Childress Racing on X, extends Love’s Cup Series schedule beyond his previous races at Bristol Motor Speedway and Texas, providing the 20-year-old with valuable experience at NASCAR’s highest level.
After making his Cup Series debut at Bristol, where he started 19th in the Food City 500 and battled against some of motorsports’ toughest competition, Jesse Love is eager to get behind the wheel again, this time piloting the #33 car for his team.
I’m looking forward to getting behind the wheel of the #33. Kansas has been a great track for us in the Xfinity Series, and I’m excited for these new opportunities,
Love stated in a press release, expressing his enthusiasm for the upcoming races and acknowledging the challenge of competing against elite drivers.
Love’s journey in 2024 has been impressive; after joining Richard Childress Racing for a full-time role in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, he immediately made waves by seizing pole position in his debut and capturing his first career win at Talladega. Currently holding fourth in Xfinity Series points, Love’s record includes one win, two poles, three top-five finishes, and eight top-10 showings, all within the opening stages of his rookie campaign. Last year, he was recognized as the Rookie of the Year after a season marked by consistent results and determination, and he began the 2025 season with a strong victory at Daytona.
Jesse Love’s recent Cup Series run at Texas with Beard Motorsports saw him finish 31st, completing 217 laps before retiring from the race. Despite this, Love described his early Cup experiences as a “big deal,” emphasizing the significance of learning from the highly competitive environment of the Cup Series. He noted the intensity and talent level as elements he anticipated and embraced, finding comfort behind the wheel and showing readiness for the challenges ahead.
As Jesse Love prepares for his upcoming starts at Kansas Speedway and Richmond Raceway, the NASCAR community is watching closely to see how this rising star will adapt and perform in his expanded schedule. His determination, recent achievements, and growing experience at the top tier signify a meaningful step in his racing career, and his continued development could be pivotal for both himself and Richard Childress Racing as the season progresses.
