Something big happened under the lights at Nashville Superspeedway. The latest NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race brought a dramatic shift in the standings and featured strong runs, major slip-ups, and a standout performance from a rising driver. One veteran struggled to keep pace, while a newer name kept cool when it mattered most. With the Rackley Roofing 200 now complete, the full results reveal more than just a winner—they point to where the season might be heading next.
Rajah Caruth Outduels Corey Heim and Layne Riggs in Final Sprint
Rajah Caruth continued his breakout 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season on Friday night at Nashville Superspeedway, holding off Corey Heim and Layne Riggs to win the Rackley Roofing 200. Caruth led the charge late, surviving a tense final run that saw Heim and Riggs pressuring through lapped traffic.
The victory marked Caruth’s second career Truck Series win, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. With the checkered flag, the No. 71 Spire Motorsports driver secured a guaranteed berth in the 2025 playoffs, adding momentum to what’s already shaping up as a career year.
“This was a team win,” Caruth said post-race. “Everyone at Spire brought a truck good enough to beat the best tonight. We knew we had to hit every restart and navigate traffic perfectly, and that’s exactly what we did.”

Dominate Early But Fade Late
The race began with fireworks, as Layne Riggs won Stage 1 and Corey Heim claimed Stage 2, setting the stage for a three-truck battle down the stretch. Riggs, who started 8th, clawed his way back into the top three after pit cycle shuffles. But despite his early speed, he couldn’t quite reach the bumper of the race leader in the closing laps.
Heim looked like Caruth’s most serious challenger. Driving the No. 11 TRICON Garage Toyota, Heim got within a half-second of the leader with less than 10 laps to go. But with Riggs in hot pursuit and lap traffic muddying the waters, Heim lost valuable ground and settled for a runner-up finish.
“Rajah just executed better,” Heim admitted. “We had speed, but the 71 made all the right moves. Once you get in dirty air behind slower trucks, it’s a challenge to time your run. Still, a solid night for the points.”
Riggs came home third in the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports Ford, continuing a consistent string of performances that has him in the playoff mix.
Dawson Sutton Impresses; Kyle Busch Stumbles
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the night came from rookie Dawson Sutton, who put on a clinic in forward progress. Starting 29th, the Nashville native carved his way through the field to finish 11th, just outside the top 10. It was a personal best for the Rackley W.A.R. driver in front of his hometown fans.
“Just proud of the effort,” Sutton said. “This team never gave up. We didn’t qualify great, but we stayed clean and executed in the pits. That made the difference.”
On the opposite end of the spectrum, Kyle Busch never found his rhythm. The two-time NASCAR Truck Series winner at Nashville incurred an early restart violation, dropping him back and out of sync with the leaders. He never recovered, finishing a disappointing 15th in the No. 07 Spire Motorsports entry.
“I screwed up on that restart — that’s on me,” Busch said. “From there, it was a struggle. Couldn’t get the balance right and we just didn’t have the speed to come back.”
