Slimp is one of three drivers currently participating in a preseason test, piloting the No. 90 car at Daytona International Speedway, although his official car number for the season has not yet been announced. Slimp’s Racing Experience and the Expanding Nitro Roster
Prior to signing with Nitro Motorsports, Slimp gained experience through multiple disciplines, including sports car competition and three appearances in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series during 2025 for Halmar Friesen Racing. All of his Truck Series starts were road course events, with a personal best finish of 12th place at Watkins Glen International.
Slimp adds his name to a growing Nitro Motorsports roster that includes Gavan Boschele, Sam Corry, and Jade Avedisian, each scheduled for part-time programs in national-level races in the current season.
