Nick Leitz Joins TRICON for Daytona NASCAR Truck Debut

Nick Leitz is set to drive in the opening event of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for TRICON Garage at Daytona, adding a fresh chapter to the Nick Leitz TRICON Daytona story. The announcement from TRICON on February 9 confirmed Leitz will take the wheel of the No. 5 truck, bringing new representation to the team’s lineup.

TRICON Expands Its Fleet for Daytona

For the Daytona race, TRICON Garage is fielding five trucks, with Leitz representing the team in the No. 5 vehicle, which features sponsorship from SEM Products. The other TRICON trucks set for competition include the Nos. 1, 11, 15, and 17, marking a robust showing for the organization at the start of the season.

Driver Shuffle and Leitz’s Track Record

Previously, the No. 5 truck was driven full-time by Toni Breidinger. She has since transitioned to a part-time schedule with Rackley WAR in the No. 27 entry for the 2025 season. Leitz began his Truck Series journey in 2022, accumulating eight starts through 2025. His best results to date are two finishes in 19th place, both occurring during the 2023 campaign. As of now, TRICON Garage has not disclosed any additional drivers planned for the No. 5 truck for the upcoming 2026 season.

What This Means for TRICON and Leitz

This entry at Daytona spotlights both TRICON’s commitment to broadening its roster and Leitz’s continued advancement in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. With the team investing in more entries and shifting roles for its drivers, the Daytona race will serve as an important stage for both the organization and for Leitz to showcase their potential. The motorsports community will be watching closely to see how this new partnership performs at one of the series’ most significant venues.
