Jusan Hamilton Brings Deep NASCAR Experience to New Role

Jusan Hamilton is set to manage Alpha Prime Racing’s strategic vision, operational effectiveness, and organizational development. His mandate includes strengthening systems that can support team scale, enhancing the leadership culture, and guiding Alpha Prime Racing toward enduring competitiveness on and off the track.

Hamilton’s career prior to joining included over a decade in high-level leadership at NASCAR, where he directed major operations, navigated intricate relationships with stakeholders, and managed programs with both national and international scope. His professional background covers areas like executive operational management, cross-functional team leadership, contract negotiation, and governance in prominent sports settings.

“Alpha Prime Racing represents an opportunity to build — not just compete,”

said Jusan Hamilton, President of Alpha Prime Racing.

“After more than a decade leading operations at scale, I wanted to apply that experience directly within a team environment where leadership decisions translate immediately into performance, culture, and growth. This role allows me to do that.”

Transition Guided by Existing Leadership and Team Values

Tommy Joe Martins, who has steered Alpha Prime Racing through its first seven years—including its earlier days as Martins Motorsports where he served as full-time Owner/Driver—voiced his confidence in Hamilton’s ability to guide the team through this period of change. According to Martins, the decision to bring Hamilton on board was shaped by Hamilton’s deep understanding of the sport and his collaborative approach.

“Jusan has a great understanding of this sport, from top to bottom,”

said Tommy Joe Martins, Co-Owner of Alpha Prime Racing.

“His experience, mindset, and humility made this decision for me. He’s the right person to take our team to the next level.”

As he takes charge, Hamilton signaled that his initial focus will be on listening to the team, aligning everyone around shared goals, and executing clear strategies. Building clarity around roles and expectations is part of his approach to create an environment that enables each member to deliver their best work.

“My priority is building clarity — around roles, expectations, and objectives — and creating an environment where people can perform at their best. Strong teams are built intentionally, and that work starts immediately.”

This leadership transition is expected to influence Alpha Prime Racing’s operational style and competitive outlook, with an emphasis on collaborative teamwork, performance accountability, and steady growth.
