ThorSport Racing Dominates Qualifying at EchoPark Speedway

ThorSport Racing dominates qualifying as Jake Garcia secures pole position at EchoPark Speedway in Hampton, Georgia, on the eve of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series F8 208. The team’s strong performance places three of its drivers in the top seven, reinforcing its reputation for superspeedway prowess.

ThorSport Racing Leads the Front Row

Jake Garcia, driving for ThorSport Racing, achieved the fastest qualifying lap to claim the starting spot at the front of the grid. His teammate, Ben Rhodes, will line up alongside him, giving the team both top positions on the front row. Two more ThorSport drivers earned sixth and seventh spots, further reflecting the team’s impressive qualifying speed.

Kyle Busch and Adam Andretti Stand Out Among Rivals

Kyle Busch, the defending champion with two consecutive wins at Atlanta, will begin the race from third place as he returns behind the wheel for Spire Motorsports’ No. 7 entry. Meanwhile, Adam Andretti, making his NASCAR Truck Series debut with Tricon Garage, leads the Toyota-powered competitors to the green flag from eighth position.

Challenges Up and Down the Field

Tyler Ankrum and Gio Ruggerio both posted fast times in the initial round of qualifying but were forced to start at the rear due to last-minute tire rub issues discovered by their crews. In contrast to last week’s session where several trucks were sent home, all 36 entrants were guaranteed starting spots for this race.

Inspection Complications Affect the Grid

Fifteen trucks experienced inspection setbacks, disrupting the qualifying session’s order. Although most teams cleared inspection on the second attempt, four trucks—driven by Clayton Green, Tyler Tomassi, Justin Carroll, and Caleb Costner—were unable to participate and will line up at the back of the field as non-participants.

Manufacturer Strategies and Performance Gaps

The Kaulig RAM team, led by Justin Haley, opted to focus on race-day handling rather than single-lap pace. Haley qualified 25th, with him and his four RAM teammates unable to break into the top ten, trailing by almost half a second.

The Stage Is Set for the 2026 F8 208

With all entrants set to take the green flag, the full starting lineup for the 2026 F8 208 at EchoPark Speedway highlights ThorSport Racing’s qualifying dominance. The spotlight now shifts to whether their speed will convert to race-day victory, while other teams and drivers aim to overcome setbacks and challenge the front runners in Hampton, Georgia.
