Brent Crews Racing Overview

Brent Crews Racing, also referred to in early announcements as Brent Crews Motorsports, is a NASCAR team founded in 2025 by professional driver Brent Anderson Crews. The team is based in Hickory, North Carolina, and operates with Crews serving as both owner and driver. The organization competes part-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, fielding car numbers No. 19 and No. 25 under a working relationship with Toyota.

The team was assembled around a young driver who had already built a deep résumé across karting, dirt midgets, late models, sports cars, and stock cars. Affiliated with Toyota Racing Development’s TD2 driver development program, Brent Crews Racing reflects the dual role of its founder, combining a personal racing career with an ownership operation designed to grow alongside it.

Brent Crews Racing Competitive Journey

Brent Crews Racing emerged directly from the racing career of its founder, transitioning from a driver-for-hire role into an owner-driver operation in a single season. The team is positioned as a developmental NASCAR entry tied closely to the broader Toyota and TRD pipeline that has supported Crews since his karting days.

Founding and Organizational Origins

The origins of Brent Crews Racing are rooted in the career of Brent Anderson Crews, who began racing go-karts at the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina at a young age. In 2016, he won the United States Pro Kart Series rookie class championship, then added victories at the IAME International World Finals in 2017 and 2018 and a Micro MAX World Championship Rotax Max Challenge race in Brazil in 2018. By 2021, he had become the youngest National Champion in the KZ Pro Shifter Class, bringing his total National Championship count to twelve.

Parallel to karting, Crews built a dirt-track résumé. He made his outlaw kart debut in 2016, became the first to win in every outlaw kart class at Millbridge Speedway in 2019, and won the Outlaw Kart Nationals in Knoxville, Iowa. In 2021, running full time in the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series for CB Industries, he became the youngest winner in series history at 13 years, three months, and 18 days at Valley Speedway, with additional wins at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55, Jacksonville Speedway, and Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex.

On the pavement side, Crews joined Nitro Motorsports in 2022 to run the SCCA Trans-Am TA2 ProAm Series, scoring his first Trans-Am pole and win at Road America at 14 years, three months, and six days old. He returned to Nitro in 2023, won at NOLA Motorsports Park, the Detroit Street Circuit, Road America, and Watkins Glen, and clinched the 2023 TA2 ProAm championship at Circuit of the Americas as the youngest champion in TA2 history.

Growth Into NASCAR Competition

Crews entered NASCAR’s development ladder through the ARCA Menards Series, debuting on August 10, 2023, at Watkins Glen in the No. 25 Toyota for Venturini Motorsports, where he finished third. He won his second start at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, leading the most laps and becoming the second-youngest driver to win in ARCA. In 2024, he returned to Venturini for a part-time ARCA schedule, dominating the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds dirt race by leading every lap.

On January 8, 2025, Joe Gibbs Racing announced that Crews would drive for them part-time across all three ARCA Series in 2025. That year produced wins at the ARCA and ARCA West combination race at Phoenix, the ARCA East race at Rockingham, the ARCA and ARCA East combination race at IRP, the Springfield event, the ARCA and ARCA East combination race at Bristol, and the ARCA West standalone race at Phoenix. On January 6, 2025, Tricon Garage announced that Crews would make his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut in their No. 1 truck.

Early Seasons and Development (2025)

Brent Crews Racing’s first season coincided with Crews’ rookie year in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. His series debut came at the 2025 Window World 250 at North Wilkesboro, driving the No. 1 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for Tricon Garage. On August 1, 2025, Crews announced that he had formed his own Truck Series team under the Brent Crews Racing banner, with the operation set to debut at Watkins Glen.

With three top-ten finishes across the 2025 Truck Series schedule, Crews ended his rookie campaign 25th in the final standings. The team also fielded additional car numbers, including No. 19 and No. 25, reflecting the part-time nature of the new operation. Despite being a single-truck, single-driver effort in its first year, the team was organizationally linked to established Toyota and TRD infrastructure through Crews’ TD2 affiliation.

Modern Program and Current Direction (2025–Present)

Heading into the 2026 season, Brent Crews Racing sits within a broader web of Toyota-backed partnerships. On November 24, 2025, it was announced that Crews would drive the No. 19 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing nearly full-time in 2026 in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. Because of age requirements, he sat out four early races before returning to the car at Martinsville, then won the Dash 4 Cash bonus following Texas and scored his first career pole at San Diego in the United Rentals Driven to Serve 250.

Crews also returned to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2026 with Tricon Garage, driving the No. 1 Toyota Tundra at Watkins Glen in the Bully Hill Vineyards 176 at The Glen. The team’s competitive identity is being built around a Toyota-only fleet, multi-series scheduling, and a working arrangement that lets Crews race as an owner in the Truck Series while serving as a contracted driver in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Philosophy and Competitive Strengths

Brent Crews Racing’s identity is shaped by a young owner-driver who has consistently excelled on road courses, dirt tracks, and short ovals. The team’s strengths are tied to Crews’ early-career versatility, his established comfort with Toyota equipment, and his development through the Toyota Racing Development TD2 pipeline. With limited Truck Series starts, the program leans on precise preparation and selective scheduling rather than full-season volume.

Key Milestones and Major Moments

Key milestones for the team include its formation announcement on August 1, 2025, its Truck Series debut at the 2025 Window World 250 at North Wilkesboro, and its operational debut as Brent Crews Racing at Watkins Glen later that year. The team’s 2026 momentum was marked by the Dash 4 Cash bonus at Texas and Crews’ first career NASCAR national-series pole at San Diego.

Brent Crews Racing Achievements and Results

As a team formed in 2025, Brent Crews Racing is still in the earliest stages of its competitive history, with its results tied directly to the personal racing record of its founder. Verified accomplishments reflect a roster of personal accolades earned by Brent Crews across karting, midgets, Trans-Am, late models, ARCA, and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, rather than team-level championships.

Series Achievements

Across the ARCA Menards Series, ARCA Menards Series East, and ARCA Menards Series West, Crews has accumulated six ARCA wins, three ARCA East wins, and two ARCA West wins, with multiple top-ten finishes and poles. He recorded his first ARCA win at the 2023 Dutch Boy 100 at Springfield and added ARCA-level victories at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds, Phoenix, IRP, and Bristol, with the Bristol win coming in the 2025 Bush’s Beans 200.

In the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Crews’ first race came in the 2025 Window World 250 at North Wilkesboro, and he has since added starts at Watkins Glen, including the 2026 Bully Hill Vineyards 176 at The Glen. He has recorded four top-ten finishes and one pole, with a best Truck Series points result of 25th in 2025. In the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, his first start was the 2026 Focused Health 250 at Austin, with the 2026 United Rentals Driven to Serve 250 at San Diego producing his first career pole, alongside eight top-ten finishes in that series.
