NASCAR Strategic Partnership: NASCAR has forged a significant partnership with Amazon and Warner Bros. Discovery to extend its reach to a broader audience for its racing content.
NASCAR president Steve Phelps expressed enthusiastic anticipation for the prospects in 2025, citing the expanded distribution avenues across various platforms like broadcast, cable, and streaming. He emphasized the intention to connect with race fans wherever they engage, highlighting the potential of this collaboration to cater to diverse fan bases.
Under this agreement, NASCAR will retain its distribution rights through current partners Fox Sports and NBC, while integrating Amazon and Warner Bros. Discovery into its roster. Post the expiration of the ongoing agreement by the end of 2024, races will transition to these new partners.
Jay Marine, Vice President and Global Head of Sports at Prime Video, acknowledged NASCAR’s preeminence in motorsport, expressing excitement about delivering Cup Series racing to U.S. Prime members for the first time. Marine emphasized their commitment to bringing fans closer to the racing action and contributing to the sport’s growth.
Race enthusiasts can expect a varied viewing experience throughout the season. Initially airing on Fox, the first 14 races, including the prestigious Daytona 500, will be an annual feature. Subsequently, the Cup Series will exclusively stream on Amazon Prime Video for the subsequent five races, marking a significant milestone for NASCAR’s top series.

Warner Bros. Discovery will then take the baton, broadcasting the following five races on TNT with a simultaneous airing on Max. NBC Sports will culminate the season, showcasing the final 14 races.
Additionally, the agreement grants Amazon and Warner Bros. Discovery exclusive rights to practice and qualifying sessions. Prime Video secures the rights for the first half of the season, while Warner Bros. Discovery claims the latter half.
Fox Sports retains the rights for practice and qualifying sessions for specific events like the exhibition Busch Light Clash, the Daytona 500, and the NASCAR All-Star Race.
In a separate development earlier this year, NASCAR announced the comprehensive airing of its second-tier Xfinity series on the CW from 2025 to 2031, expanding its broadcast footprint further.
