Bubba Wallace Takes Hilarious Jab at Joey Logano After Talladega Radio Meltdown

The NASCAR Cup Series race last Sunday at Talladega was marked by smooth racing, especially in the Next-Gen era, as it went without the expected major crashes, making it one of the cleanest events there. However, chaos reigned on the team radios, with the reigning champion, Joey Logano, experiencing an intense outburst as he battled for playoff points against Bubba Wallace.

Near the end of the second stage, Logano relied on teammate Austin Cindric for a crucial push. Yet, an unexpected slowdown by the No:2 Ford disrupted Logano’s momentum, allowing Wallace to emerge victorious in this stage and triggering Logano to launch into a heated, profanity-laden tirade.

Austin Cindric later claimed victory in the race, celebrating with his team on social media platform X. Bubba Wallace seized the moment to playfully taunt Joey Logano, teasing the veteran while also extending heartfelt congratulations to Cindric.

“Big AC fan in stage 2… don’t listen to the naysayers, you were perfect!”

Wallace commented, highlighting his playful nature on social media.

Wallace, known for his playful antics online, often targets Logano’s teammate Ryan Blaney, with whom he shares a close friendship. Fortunately for Blaney, he wasn’t in Logano’s shoes that day, as Wallace would undoubtedly have found amusement at his expense on social platforms.

The 23XI Racing driver delivered an average performance in the race, finishing in eighth place overall after winning a stage. Despite not battling at the forefront as the race concluded, due to the absence of anticipated wrecks, Wallace viewed it positively for his No:23 team. Post-race, he reflected on the unexpected turn of events stating,

“I don’t really know what to think as I think we were all waiting for a big wreck there at the end and it never happened. We ended up 10th (later 8th after Logano and Preece DQ), so that’s a good day for us. We didn’t need a new winner, but congrats to Austin (Cindric). Was nice not having to ride around, running half throttle and save fuel. We did at times, but not as much.”

Looking ahead, Wallace is eager to maintain momentum as the NASCAR series heads to Texas Motor Speedway. The race poses an exciting challenge, and with his team in a favorable position for the playoffs, Wallace remains optimistic about their potential to excel. The unfolding dynamics at Texas will surely hold fans’ attention as Wallace strives to build on his current standing.
