Henry Ford founded the Ford Motor Company on June 16, 1903. Ford revolutionized the automobile industry by introducing assembly line production techniques. Ford joined NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) in 1949, the same year NASCAR was founded. NASCAR is a sanctioning body for stock car racing in the United States, and Ford’s participation in NASCAR has been a significant aspect of its motorsport involvement.
