Kaulig Racing Honors Greg Biffle With Daytona 500 Tribute

Kaulig Racing honors Greg Biffle alongside RFK Racing at the launch of the 2026 NASCAR season, bringing a moving tribute to the late driver during Daytona 500 events in Florida this February. This collaboration celebrates the enduring legacy of Biffle, a NASCAR veteran remembered by the racing world following his tragic passing in a 2025 plane crash near Statesville Regional Airport in North Carolina.

Honoring Greg Biffle’s Enduring Legacy in NASCAR

Greg Biffle, who spent almost two decades driving for Jack Roush’s teams, is cherished not just for his track successes but also for his philanthropic impact and leadership within NASCAR. After his sudden death with his wife and two children in December 2025, both Kaulig Racing and RFK Racing announced plans to commemorate his contributions throughout the new season, ensuring his memory becomes an integral part of the sport’s fabric.

Special Tributes at Daytona and Throughout the Season

The 2026 season begins with multiple commemorative gestures. When RFK Racing and Kaulig Racing arrive at Daytona Speedweeks and the Daytona 500, Biffle’s memory will take center stage. The first tribute arrives at Bowman Gray Stadium, where all RFK Racing cars will feature a circular memorial decal above the B-post for the entire season. The decal, reading,

“The Biff 16, In Loving Memory of Greg Biffle.”

reminds all of his impact on the sport.

Additionally, RFK Racing is updating the number styling on their Ford Mustangs to a font inspired by the look that defined Biffle’s cars throughout his career. This nod to Biffle’s identity as a competitor ensures that his spirit is present during each event in 2026.

“Greg Biffle was more than a championship driver, he was family,”

said RFK Racing co-owner Brad Keselowski.

“He helped shape who we are as an organization, and his legacy is woven into this team’s history. Returning to the iconic numeric font that defined so much of his career, and adding the season-long decal to each car, are meaningful ways for us to honor Greg and carry his spirit. We can’t bring him back, but we can honor him on the track the best way we know how, all season long.”

Kaulig Racing’s Personalized Homage With No. 16 Car

Kaulig Racing’s tribute spotlights Biffle’s iconic connection to the No. 16. For the duration of the Daytona 500 festivities, AJ Allmendinger’s No. 16 car will feature the same famed numeral styling. The car’s livery will also include Biffle’s signature, further personalizing the homage and inviting fans to recall the memories he created on and off the track.

“Greg Biffle made the No. 16 famous and was a true friend to Kaulig Racing and the whole racing community,”

said Kaulig Racing CEO Chris Rice.

“This is our way of honoring his incredible career and the person he was. When AJ Allmendinger drives this car at Daytona, we hope fans remember Greg, his family, and all the great memories he gave us.”

A Legacy That Goes Beyond Racing

Biffle stands out as one of the first stars of the modern NASCAR era, recognized for both his achievements as a driver and his tireless humanitarian work. As the new season opens, his influence will remain visible not only through decals and designs but also in the camaraderie and inspiration he brought to teams, drivers, and fans alike.

The collaboration between Kaulig Racing and RFK Racing ensures that, even after the devastating accident near Statesville Regional Airport, the mark Biffle left on NASCAR will continue to be honored at the track and beyond. Through these public tributes at events like the Daytona 500, the 2026 NASCAR season moves forward in remembrance, with the sport’s community united in celebration of a legendary career and the man behind it.
