Carson Hocevar will pilot the No. 77 Chevrolet Silverado for Spire Motorsports in the season-opening Daytona Truck Race, marking an energetic start to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series year. The Carson Hocevar Daytona Truck Race effort brings two familiar national brands, Best Buy and IKEA, together as sponsors for the high-profile Daytona International Speedway event.

Hocevar said in Spire’s announcement. The driver also highlighted his connection to IKEA and Best Buy, sharing that his initial furniture assembly experience came with IKEA, and that Best Buy is his go-to for gaming equipment and electronics. “To have both of them connected and riding with me on the No. 77 Silverado at Daytona is really special.”
Hocevar’s Journey and Familiar Faces at Spire Motorsports
The team’s Daytona Truck Race entry features Hocevar alongside fellow Cup Series competitor Michael McDowell, who will drive Spire’s No. 7 entry. No details have been released yet on further races in which Hocevar might participate in the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season.
Hocevar made four Truck Series starts for Spire in 2025, including a memorable victory at Kansas Speedway. During his second full Cup season, the Michigan native reached personal bests in the Cup ranks, collecting two top-five finishes and nine top-10 results. Spire Motorsports, having featured Cup regulars and high-profile sponsors, looks to continue its momentum as the season begins in Daytona.

“I’ve enjoyed watching the Spire Motorsports trucks there the last two years, and I’m excited to be part of it now.”
