Spire Motorsports Unveils Major NASCAR Sponsorship at Daytona

Spire Motorsports has revealed a significant NASCAR sponsorship arrangement, bringing IKEA and Best Buy together on Carson Hocevar’s truck at the Daytona International Speedway. This marks the first time both brands will serve as joint sponsors for Hocevar, an experienced NASCAR Truck Series driver, in the season-opening race of the 2026 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series.

IKEA and Best Buy Join Forces for No. 77 Chevrolet Silverado RST

IKEA and Best Buy, two major global retailers, will debut as co-primary sponsors on the No. 77 Chevrolet Silverado RST during the Fresh From Florida 250 on February 13. This collaboration comes after the launch of the “IKEA at Best Buy” planning and shopping experience, a retail initiative introduced in Texas and Florida stores in 2025. The partnership not only highlights a blend of home furnishings and consumer electronics but also marks their inaugural venture into NASCAR sponsorship at this scale.

Spire Motorsports showcased the new sponsorship and paint scheme for the season opener, with both brands prominently featured. The deal brings enhanced visibility to both companies within the passionate NASCAR community.

The team has confirmed it will run two trucks—No. 7 and No. 77—in the upcoming season, featuring a rotation of drivers. Hocevar, with his crew chief Chad Walter, will handle select part-time starts for the No. 77 truck, though his complete race schedule for 2026 is yet to be determined. Hailing from Portage, Michigan, the 23-year-old will divide his time between the NASCAR Cup and Truck Series at Daytona during race week in mid-February.

Hocevar Shares Excitement About Representing Global Brands

“Ultimately, it’s super cool to represent two major brands that I’m familiar with and have strong connections to the NASCAR fan base. My first time ever building furniture was an IKEA set, and I obviously play a lot of video games and get my electronics from Best Buy,”

Carson Hocevar said in a team release.

Hocevar emphasized the unique significance of the joint sponsorship opportunity for his career at Daytona, highlighting his connection to both brands and their resonance with NASCAR enthusiasts.

“To have both of them connected and riding with me on the No. 77 Silverado at Daytona is really special. I’ve enjoyed watching the Spire Motorsports trucks there the last two years, and I’m excited to be part of it now.

Looking Ahead to Race Weekend at Daytona

The Fresh From Florida 250 will kick off with practice sessions and qualifying rounds, followed by the 250-mile Truck race on Friday, February 13, starting at 7:30 pm ET. Meanwhile, the NASCAR Cup Series will begin its season with a non-points event at Bowman Gray Stadium soon after Daytona. With names like Chad Walter, Justin Haley, Kyle Busch, Sammy Smith, Brenden Queen, and Connor Zilisch set to participate across various events, the 2026 season is capturing the intense attention of the fan base.

The new Spire Motorsports NASCAR sponsorship for the Daytona event not only spotlights the evolving relationships between corporate partners and racing teams but also brings renewed energy and anticipation to the start of the 2026 Truck Series season. Industry watchers are keen to see how these international brands influence the sport’s commercial appeal and fan engagement as the green flag drops this February at Daytona International Speedway.
