Team Penske and Astemo, Ltd., along with Astemo Americas, have announced the continuation of their Team Penske INDYCAR partnership through the 2026 season, marking their 15th year working together. The agreement ensures the Astemo logo remains a familiar sight in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, most notably on Josef Newgarden’s No. 2 Dallara/Chevrolet at nine races this year.
Astemo Continues Sponsorship with Team Penske
Astemo’s branding will be displayed prominently on the No. 2 Team Penske Chevrolet, appearing on the front, sides, and rear wing at select races. As a supplier of fuel-system components for Chevrolet’s 2.2-liter twin-turbocharged engines, Astemo’s technology plays a key role in the performance of the cars throughout the INDYCAR series.
The partnership, which was renewed for the 2025 season and extended to cover 2026, shows the value and strength of the collaboration between the two organizations. In 2025, Josef Newgarden and Team Penske ended the season with a victory at the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix in Nashville, highlighting the ongoing success of this alliance.
Leadership Reflects on Enduring Relationship
Astemo Americas’ Senior Vice President Rob Sharpe emphasized the company’s positive outlook for the upcoming season and the strength of its collaborations.
“We’re looking forward to continued success in 2026,”
Sharpe said.
“Our partnerships with Team Penske and Chevrolet have proven to be highly successful both on and off the track.”

Sharpe also pointed out the value of their motorsport partnerships beyond racing results.
“The business relationships we’ve developed as a result of our motorsports programs are without equal. We are also honored to be the primary sponsor of the No. 2 car for the recently announced Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington, D.C., celebrating our nation’s 250th anniversary.”

Team Penske’s Milestone and Season Goals
As Team Penske celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2026, the group is focused on increasing its impressive collection of achievements, which includes a record 20 Indianapolis 500 wins and 17 INDYCAR series titles. Astemo and Team Penske are aiming for even greater heights, especially as Josef Newgarden’s strong performance continues to set the pace following the team’s back-to-back Indy 500 victories in 2023 and 2024.
Newgarden, who stands out as a two-time series champion and the first driver in over two decades to secure successive Indianapolis 500 wins, has become a central figure in American motorsports. After competing in 14 top-tier seasons in North America, he remains a vital asset to Team Penske and was recently featured in promotional campaigns by broadcast partner Fox.
