Team Penske Extends Key Partnership Ahead of 2026 IndyCar

Team Penske has announced the extension of its partnership with Clarience Technologies, strengthening their relationship ahead of the 2026 IndyCar season. This renewed deal expands the presence of Clarience Technologies, a Michigan-based leader in visibility and safety solutions, as Team Penske works to build momentum for the coming years in IndyCar.

Clarience Technologies Grows IndyCar Presence with Team Penske

The collaboration between Clarience Technologies and Team Penske began at the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix in 2023, when the company first appeared as an associate sponsor. Since then, Clarience Technologies branding has featured on the shark fin of Josef Newgarden’s car and, for 2026, their involvement will reach new heights.

Scott McLaughlin will showcase Clarience Technologies in two prominent races. The No. 3 Chevrolet, piloted by McLaughlin, will sport the full Clarience livery at Detroit on May 31 and during the first race of the Milwaukee Mile doubleheader on August 29. McLaughlin expressed his optimism about the growing relationship, stating,

“Clarience Technologies is another great new partner for the No. 3 Team Penske Chevrolet. They are a proud brand on the rise, just like the INDYCAR SERIES. We take a lot of pride in getting new partners their first win, and I’m confident we can do that for Clarience Technologies.”

In 2026, newcomer David Malukas, who replaces Will Power, will carry the Clarience Technologies logo on the shark fin of the No. 12 Chevrolet throughout the entire season. This continued collaboration reflects Team Penske’s commitment to developing partnerships with innovative technology companies.

Penske Racing President Jonathan Diuguid welcomed the continued alliance, explaining,

“Clarience Technologies is an industry-leading brand that is a welcomed addition to our INDYCAR SERIES primary partner lineup. It is always great to see a relationship grow organically because it means the partnership is mutually beneficial. We look forward to getting them to Victory Lane this season.”

Technical Alliance with AJ Foyt Racing Continues Into 2027

Alongside the partnership extension with Clarience Technologies, Team Penske is expanding its technical alliance with AJ Foyt Racing (AFR). This collaboration, originating late in the 2023 season, has brought technical expertise—such as damper supply and strategic support—from Roger Penske’s organization to the historic IndyCar team. The alliance was initially guided by AFR’s former Technical Director, Michael Cannon.

Even after Cannon’s departure ahead of the 2025 season, AJ Foyt Racing continued to benefit from its ties with Penske, earning multiple podiums during the 2025 campaign. The alliance will now carry on through the end of 2027, positioning AFR and Team Penske for continued mutual growth and competitive success.

The move has already produced tangible results for both organizations. David Malukas, after just one year with AFR, was able to make a transition to Team Penske thanks in part to the access and collaboration secured by their technical alliance. Both teams aim to leverage shared data and resources to improve performance in the evolving IndyCar landscape.

Fresh Faces and Ambitions Set for 2026 IndyCar

Looking forward to the next season, AJ Foyt Racing will field Santino Ferrucci alongside 2025 Indy NXT championship runner-up Caio Collet, declaring a bold intention for the team in 2026. The ongoing technical alliance and enhanced sponsorships point to a lively and fiercely competitive grid as IndyCar enters a new phase marked by innovation and collaboration.

With strengthened partnerships like the Team Penske partnership extension and collaborative efforts across teams and sponsors, the 2026 IndyCar season is positioned for dynamic competition and continued development both on and off the track.
