Frankie Muniz Journey: Paving a Path in NASCAR’s Xfinity Series with RSS Racing

Frankie Muniz Journey: In 2024, Frankie Muniz remains committed to racing, with a potential landing spot in the NASCAR Xfinity Series on the horizon.

Returning to motorsport in 2023 with a full-time seat for Rette Jones Racing in the ARCA Menards Series, Muniz enjoyed a successful year, briefly leading the point standings and concluding the season with an impressive fifth-place finish at Michigan International Speedway. His consistent performance saw him secure 11 top-10 finishes in 20 starts, ultimately securing fourth place in the standings.

While Muniz has yet to confirm his racing destination for the upcoming season, speculation continues to point towards the NASCAR Xfinity Series. In an interview with Beyond the Flag, Muniz hinted at a full-time commitment next year but remained tight-lipped about further details, teasing that fans might be in for a surprise.

“I will be racing full-time next season,” Muniz affirmed. “I wish I could share where I’ll be racing, but we’ll be making the announcement soon! I think everyone will be pretty shocked.”

Recent reports suggest Muniz is anticipated to join RSS Racing for a full-time stint in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

While RSS Racing might not be a frontrunner in the series, much like Rette Jones Racing in ARCA Menards, it offers a stable platform for Muniz to showcase his potential. Competing alongside seasoned racer Ryan Sieg, who has been with the family-owned team since 2013 in Xfinity and back to 2009 in the Truck Series, provides Muniz with an opportunity to prove his mettle.

Expressing aspirations toward the Cup Series, Muniz acknowledges the time sensitivity of his entry into the sport at 37. He realizes the urgency to deliver results promptly to establish his place, acknowledging the need for immediate performance rather than an extended period to ascend the ranks.

“Cup [Series] is definitely my goal,” Muniz stated. “I think that’s everyone’s dream, but I also know I’m pretty old to be getting into the sport. At 37, I don’t have 15 years to perfect my craft to get to Cup. I have to show I belong right away, and the only way to do that is to have results now.”
