Kyle Larson Midget Racing Return: Hangtown Triumph to Turkey Night Pursuit!

Kyle Larson Midget Racing Return: Kyle Larson’s return to Midget racing proved to be so exhilarating that he’s now set to take on another challenge in the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship. Following his triumphant victory at the Hangtown 100 in Placerville Speedway last weekend, Larson is geared up to hit the tracks again, aiming to compete in the upcoming USAC Turkey Night Grand Prix event at Ventura Raceway.

The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion showcased his prowess by securing a preliminary night win last Friday before a remarkable charge from the 16th starting position led to his victory in Sunday’s main event at the Hangtown 100.

For Larson, Friday night’s win marked his first Midget triumph on dirt since November 19, 2021, during a Hangtown 100 preliminary night feature at Placerville. It also signaled his return to Midget racing, nearly a year after his last appearance at the previous year’s Turkey Night Grand Prix.

No stranger to the Turkey Night Grand Prix, Larson is chasing his fourth career win in this traditional Thanksgiving weekend affair, having displayed consistent excellence in the event. Across 10 starts, he has never finished below fourth place. Adding to his three wins, he’s secured second place on four occasions in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022.

The Turkey Night Grand Prix stands as the culminating event of the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship season, boasting a packed field of 53 drivers slated to participate alongside Larson.
