NASCAR 75th Anniversary Awards: Honoring Champions

NASCAR 75th Anniversary Awards: NASCAR’s annual awards ceremony holds a special place in the motorsport community, tracing its heritage back to the sport’s foundations in 1950. This year marks an exceptional milestone as NASCAR gears up to commemorate its 75th anniversary, featuring the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Craftsman Truck Series awards ceremony returning to Nashville’s Music City Center on November 30th.

Previously, NASCAR held separate award ceremonies for the top-tier National series on different days, until 2021, when it embraced a unified approach.

In an inclusive move, NASCAR will honor champions from various series, including the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, ARCA Menards Series, ARCA Menards Series East, ARCA Menards Series West, and NASCAR International Series on November 28.

In addition to these acknowledgments, NASCAR has scheduled two new events for November 29: the NASCAR House and the NASCAR Champion Car Parade. The NASCAR House, located at 5th and Broadway from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT, will be accompanied by the NASCAR Champion Car Parade parading through Broadway from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. CT.

Reflecting on the winners from the previous year’s awards ceremony, Trackhouse Racing left an indelible mark. Ross Chastain, securing his first career victories at COTA and Talladega Superspeedway, alongside remarkable stats—15 top-5 finishes, 21 top-10 performances, 692 laps led, and a 13.3 average finish—earned him the “Driver of the Year” title.

Trackhouse Racing’s #1 team clinched the esteemed “Team of the Year” recognition. The team’s significant strides included Pitbull’s co-ownership, the acquisition of Chip Ganassi Racing’s racing operation, and both Trackhouse Racing cars securing top-10 finishes. Notably, the introduction of Project 91 brought F1 world champion Kimi Raikkonen to the Cup Series scene at Watkins Glen in August.

In reminiscing about standout moments, Kyle Busch’s victory at the Bristol dirt race claimed “The Best Finish,” although Bristol Motor Speedway won’t feature dirt racing next year. Meanwhile, Joey Logano’s exceptional performance during the Championship 4 race at Phoenix Raceway, leading 187 laps and securing the Championship trophy, granted him the “Most Dominant Performance” award, among other accolades received by drivers like Christopher Bell and Corey LaJoie.
