Shane Van Gisbergen Racing Schedule: Xfinity, Cup Series, and Midweek Sprint Cars Unveiled

Shane Van Gisbergen Racing Schedule: Shane Van Gisbergen’s unwavering commitment to Trackhouse Racing’s development program has yielded a fruitful reward—a full-season stint in the Xfinity Series, complemented by appearances in 7 Cup Series races. In a notable turn, Kyle Larson, the standout from Hendrick Motorsports, saw an opportunity to propose another addition to Gisbergen’s bustling agenda.

Larson, a distinguished figure at Hendrick Motorsports, suggested that Van Gisbergen might find ample time to join his Midweek Sprint Car Series. Affirming his stance, he reposted Gisbergen’s 2024 USA tour schedule, expressing, “Seems like there’s plenty of room to dive into the Midweek Money Series with @HighLimitRacing #RacersRace.”

The Kiwi star, who triumphed in his NASCAR debut at the inaugural Chicago street race in July, is set to drive the #97 Kaulig Racing Chevy in the Xfinity Series.

Trackhouse Racing’s owner, Justin Marks, applauded Kaulig Racing’s history of success in the Xfinity Series and acknowledged their shared vision for Gisbergen’s potential. Marks stated, “Our gratitude goes to Matt Kaulig and Chris Rice for recognizing the same potential in Shane that we do. The excitement for this season is palpable.”

Furthermore, Trackhouse Racing disclosed WeatherTech, an innovative manufacturer of automotive accessories and pet-care products, as the primary sponsor for most of Gisbergen’s races in 2024. Gisbergen, overwhelmed by the developments, expressed, “I’m genuinely astonished at how swiftly this has all come together. I owe my gratitude to the NASCAR industry and fans for embracing me and supporting my pursuit of this dream.

I hold immense respect for every driver who has labored to reach the Cup Series, and I am prepared to dedicate the same effort. I’m eager to commence this journey,” he added. A promising start indeed.

In addition to his Xfinity commitments, the 34-year-old speedster is slated to compete in the following Cup Series races: Circuit of The Americas (COTA) on March 24, Talladega Superspeedway on April 21 and October 6, Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 26, Chicago Street Race on July 7, Watkins Glen International on September 15, and Las Vegas Motor Speedway on October 20.

While his schedule appears packed, the Midweek Sprint Car Series curated by Kyle Larson is strategically organized to avoid overlap with the Cup Series events.

The layout allows Van Gisbergen to balance his weekend obligations at the Cup and Xfinity levels, leaving his midweek open for Larson’s racing series. And should he emerge victorious, it’s an added bonus, both in terms of triumph and earnings.
