NASCAR Cup Series Driver Standings After Darlington: Who Can Stop William Byron Now?

Through the first eight races of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season, cumulative stats for all points-eligible drivers are beginning to paint a clearer picture of the championship landscape. As of April 6 following the race at Darlington, consistent performances have started to separate the contenders from the rest of the field.

Notably, the regular-season champion will receive an automatic playoff berth along with 15 bonus playoff points, adding extra weight to each race. With 28 races remaining, the battle for playoff positioning is already intensifying, and every stage point and finish matters more than ever in shaping the path toward the final ten races.
