Chase Elliott Praises Carl Edwards’ Impact With Prime: “Nothing But Incredible” for NASCAR Fans

NASCAR driver Chase Elliott recently expressed strong appreciation for Carl Edwards’ new role as a broadcaster with Prime, highlighting the positive influence Edwards has brought to racing coverage. Elliott shared these reflections as the NASCAR season continued into Mexico, offering insights into why he believes Edwards stands out in his broadcast position and how Chase Elliott praises Carl Edwards’ impact with Prime.

Carl Edwards’ Positive Presence in Prime Broadcasts

Carl Edwards, a NASCAR Hall of Famer, joined the broadcasting team at Prime, the Amazon-owned streaming platform, earlier this year. Since his arrival, support from notable drivers like Chase Elliott has underscored the quality brought to these broadcasts. Elliott noted his longstanding regard for Edwards, describing him as someone he has always “appreciated and admired.”

Speaking candidly about Edwards’ transition into media, Elliott highlighted his professionalism, storytelling talent, and likable demeanor both on and off the screen:

“He is a great storyteller. He’s always been very professional and he does good in front of cameras. But he’s also a good guy away from that, too. I think he’s good choice for Amazon. I have not gone back and watched the races thus far. But I will say this, everyone that has come up to me – you know, friends or fans or whatever that have watched the races over the last few weeks – have had nothing but incredible things to say. And it seems like it’s been really well done, at least that’s kind of been the perception that’s out there that I’ve heard. So, I think Carl has a big role in that. I think he does a really good job,”

Elliott remarked that his experiences interacting with Edwards have always been positive, and he looked forward to more opportunities to connect. He further described Edwards as having “a lot of great insight” because of his broad racing background, which has helped keep his approach relevant as the sport changes.

Chase Elliott Aims for Victory Amid Consistent Performances

Chase Elliott ended a long spell without a win at Texas earlier in April 2024 but has not reached victory lane since then. Heading into the Mexico race, Elliott has a 41-race winless streak; however, his position remains strong thanks to his steady results.

Despite not winning since April, Elliott’s reliability on the track is notable. This year, he has completed all 15 races inside the top 20 and has secured top 10 finishes in all but eight contests, with three results inside the top five. His consistent form has placed him fifth in the points standings, keeping his playoff hopes very much alive as the season progresses.

Looking ahead, Elliott hopes to break his current winless run in Mexico, a location that carries promise after a top-five performance at COTA earlier this year. As excitement builds for the next challenge, Elliott’s determined outlook reflects the ongoing passion and drive at the heart of NASCAR’s competitive scene.

Carl Edwards’ return as a Prime broadcaster has drawn widespread praise from fellow drivers like Chase Elliott and the wider NASCAR community, setting a strong example for how former racing talents can influence the new era of motorsports coverage. For Elliott, learning from respected figures such as Edwards continues to be a valuable experience as he chases further success this season.
