A NASCAR Reporter with a Flair for the Spotlight

Before going viral on TikTok or stepping into startup life, Alexa Serowik was a rising voice in NASCAR’s media circles. Her career kicked off at ABC6 News in 2020 before moving into the hockey world with the Providence Bruins. But by 2022, she was trackside with NASCAR, serving as a Team Reporter and Content Creator. Through interviews, behind-the-scenes storytelling, and fan engagement, Serowik became a recognizable presence in the garage area during a pivotal stretch for the sport’s digital evolution.

Her NASCAR tenure lasted three and a half years before she shifted gears toward entrepreneurship, founding Alexa Serowik Hair. Along the way, she built a social media following of over 160,000 and gained 2.5 million likes on TikTok, often mixing lifestyle content with motorsports coverage. “It’s wholeheartedly been a fairy tale and dream come true. Noah tops the list in that respect. It feels like I’ve come full circle in Newport from going to the mansions as a child, to reporting there, to now marrying the love of my life there.” – Alexa Serowik

A Wedding with Motorsport Class and Canadian Heart

The couple’s July 1 wedding fell on Canada Day—a fitting nod to Dobson’s roots. Held at St. Mary’s Church in Newport, Rhode Island, the ceremony blended tradition with elegance, followed by a reception at the historic Rosecliff Mansion.

About 200 guests attended the event, which kicked off with a pre-wedding welcome party at Clarke Cooke House under a “preppy New England” theme. The reception leaned heavily into bold reds and pinks to match the mood of celebration and the date’s significance.

“We leaned into reds for Rosecliff. Red roses, red linens, red lighting, and additionally some bright pops of hot pink florals and greens mixed in. We wanted to create a modern Gatsby party at the original Gatsby movie mansion and also tie in our July 1 Canada Day in the USA for Noah.” – Alexa Serowik

The couple first met on the celebrity dating app Raya in early 2022. Both were mid-flight at the time, starting a conversation that stretched late into the night. Dobson was flying home from a road trip with his team, and Serowik was returning to Boston after covering the Patriots vs. Dolphins game.

“Both of us were on a flight so we ended up chatting the whole night on the app. I was flying home to Boston from Miami after covering the Patriots versus Dolphins game with ABC6 and he was flying back to New York from a road trip with the team. After weeks of a lot of FaceTiming, texting and talking on the phone, I visited him in New York — I was based in Boston at the time — and the rest was history.” – Alexa Serowik

The proposal came two years later, on the beach at Prince Edward Island, Dobson’s home turf. Now, as husband and wife, they plan to move into their new island home together.

A New Chapter for Dobson, but the Spotlight Stays on NASCAR

While Noah Dobson headlines sports pages for his blockbuster $76 million move to the Montreal Canadiens, Alexa’s NASCAR story continues to resonate with fans who followed her journey through garages and victory lanes.

Her presence in the NASCAR community extended beyond reporting—bringing personality and relatability to the sport’s digital space. Even as she steps away from pit road, her career pivot reflects the growing cross-section of motorsports, lifestyle, and media branding.

Dobson, meanwhile, has opened up about his departure from the New York Islanders and the road leading to his new contract.

“Once conversations started with my representation we tried to work on finding a deal and staying on Long Island. That was always the goal to start but unable to find any common ground on that. And at some point we just felt it would be best to go in different directions and look for a trade. And I’ve got nothing but great things to say about the Islanders organization and my time there. Truly I love those guys and wish them nothing but the best moving forward. But at the end of the day, things like this happen, and to be coming to the Montreal Canadiens is super exciting for me, and I have a fresh start here and I’m really looking forward to it.” – Noah Dobson

“Without hesitation a no-brainer for me. Just the opportunity to be part of the Montreal Canadiens, it’s an honor. It’s the best hockey market in the world. The fans are incredible. I love playing at the Bell Centre, and just also the group of players they have already and the talent they have on that team and what they’ve been building. I’m just super excited to join that group and add to it, and excited about what we can do down the road here in the future.” – Noah Dobson
