Tony Stewart, Leah Pruett Credit Dodge for TSR Nitro Success as Racing Power Couple Eyes Major Comeback

Tony Stewart and Leah Pruett, known as a dynamic power couple in motorsports, continue to attract attention as they steer the Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) team with major support from Dodge. Highlighting the importance of their Tony Stewart racing Dodge collaboration, both Stewart and Pruett are now focused on achieving new milestones while welcoming the possibility of Pruett’s return to racing.

Dodge’s Essential Influence on Tony Stewart Racing’s Achievements

Stewart and Pruett, married since 2021 and parents to their son Dominic born in November 2024, have built a team recognized for strong performances in the NHRA Championship Drag Racing series. Their TSR operation, which also enters a full-time Funny Car led by Matt Hagan, has thrived due to critical partnerships, most notably with Dodge. Hagan delivered Stewart’s inaugural NHRA title in 2023, while Pruett finished third overall that season before taking a pause to concentrate on family life.

Recently, the couple discussed how Dodge’s support was foundational in assembling the team, enabling their transition and long-term success. Pruett explained:

“The number one reason that Matt and I were able to start with Tony, with TSR Nitro and move over, is because we had Dodge’s backing… They were the first fundamental piece in… If it wasn’t for them, we would have never been able to make that move.”

Stewart echoed her sentiment with his own appreciation for the brand’s role:

“It really was our foundation in all reality, that was the first piece of the building blocks that had to happen to assemble it.”

The racing legend further noted that the upcoming 25th year anniversary of TSR brings the team full circle, as their current collaboration with Dodge represents a return to their original roots and aspirations within high-level motorsports.

Leah Pruett’s Steps Toward an Anticipated Racing Comeback

Leah Pruett, renowned as a 12-time Top Fuel winner and a Factor Stock Showdown champion, made headlines with her recent return to the driver’s seat after taking a break at the end of 2023. On June 23, she participated in a private test session set up by Tony Stewart Racing at Virginia Motorsports Park, signaling that her path back to competitive racing may be accelerating.

The TSR Nitro team confirmed Pruett’s test session on their official social media channels, fueling optimism among fans. During Pruett’s hiatus, Tony Stewart stepped in to fill her role, earning NHRA Rookie of the Year honors and reiterating his encouragement that she can return when ready.

While no formal announcement has been made about Pruett’s full-time comeback, her recent track time is an encouraging indicator for those following her career. Previously, Pruett piloted the No. 14 TSR Dodge//SRT Direct Connection Top Fuel dragster, gathering an array of accolades and contributing significantly to the team‘s reputation.

Paving the Road Ahead for Team and Family

As Tony Stewart Racing prepares for its landmark anniversary, the unwavering support from Dodge and the prospect of Leah Pruett’s return highlight a renaissance period for the team. Their close-knit dynamic and shared ambition provide momentum not only for continued racing achievements but also for the progression of their family legacy. The motorsports world is watching closely as this partnership of championship pedigree, strengthened by Dodge, readies for a potential resurgence on the drag strip.
