Corey Heim’s racing career now includes more than just personal accolades, as his girlfriend, Taylor Reimer, delivered a remarkable performance during her first-ever start on a 1.5-mile oval at Kansas Speedway on Friday. Reimer, driving for Venturini Motorsports in the ARCA Menards Series, finished in the top five, setting the stage for a possible on-track battle between the couple.
ARCA Menards Series driver Corey Heim has previously drawn comparisons to Tony Stewart, who faces his own emotional challenges when racing against family. Much like Stewart’s anticipated showdown with his wife Leah Pruett in the NHRA, Heim must now consider what it will mean when he and Reimer eventually compete directly on the racetrack, moving beyond their playful Monopoly game rivalry.
Reimer Joins Elite Group With Historic Top-Five Result
Reimer, 25, became only the third woman in ARCA Menards Series history to secure top-five finishes on both dirt and paved circuits. Having placed third on the dirt at the Illinois State Fairgrounds last year, she now joins Isabella Robusto and Hailee Deegan in achieving this milestone after her Kansas performance.
Sharing her experience with Frontstretch.com after the race, Reimer expressed her excitement about the challenges she encountered on the large track:

“I had a lot of fun, it was a blast,”
Reimer told Frontstretch.com.
This Kansas race presented obstacles Reimer had not previously faced, like handling “dirty air” and making quick strategic choices behind the wheel. She credited her support system for her ability to adjust and succeed, saying:
“The air is just the biggest thing, putting myself in good spots and putting myself in bad spots. I honestly feel I did a really good job of putting myself in certain positions and not just following cars into the corner. That’s what people told me, you can’t put yourself behind someone, you have to go where they’re not, and I feel that’s what I did.”

Tight Competition Through Overtime Laps
The ARCA Menards Series race at Kansas extended 10 laps into overtime, culminating in a 110-lap contest. While 29 drivers started, only 21 cars made it to the checkered flag, reflecting the tough conditions competitors faced on the track.
Earlier this season, Reimer competed at Elko Speedway in Elko New Market, Minnesota, where she finished eighth, further building her credentials. The Tulsa, Oklahoma native has demonstrated versatility by excelling on both dirt and pavement in high-stakes environments.
Uncertain Plans for Season Finale
The ARCA Menards Series is set to wrap up next Saturday, October 4, at Toledo Speedway in Ohio. Whether Reimer will participate in this last race remains uncertain, but all eyes will be on her if she does. Reimer’s notable Kansas result adds another highlight to Corey Heim’s racing career and hints at further memorable moments ahead, both for their relationship and for the sport.
