Chase Elliott matched two legendary NASCAR Hall of Fame drivers with his recent victory at Kansas Speedway during the Hollywood Casino 400, joining an exclusive group of drivers with 21 career NASCAR Cup wins. This achievement further bolsters Elliott’s reputation as a standout competitor, reinforcing his place alongside some of the sport’s most respected names.
Elliott Reaches 21 NASCAR Cup Victories
With his win in Kansas City, Elliott now shares the honor of 21 career victories with Hall of Fame members Bobby Labonte and Benny Parsons, tying them on the NASCAR Cup wins list. In addition, he equaled the career totals of Jeff Burton and Jack Smith, putting all five drivers in a tie for the 39th spot in all-time wins.
Multiple Wins Mark a Return to Form
The 2025 season stands out as Elliott’s first with more than one win since his 2022 campaign, reflecting a resurgence for the 2020 NASCAR Cup champion. Previously, he took home a victory in Atlanta earlier in June, helping to signal his return to top form and maintain momentum throughout the current season.
Strong Preparation Key in Kansas Victory
Elliott credited thorough preparation and teamwork for his results in Kansas.
“I was really proud of how we were prepared, how we handled (Saturday), put ourselves in a good position, got our pit crew a great pit stall on pit road, got to showcase their talents, how good they are,”
Chase Elliott, Cup champion, said.
“We weren’t the dominant car on the long run, but we had good short-run pace and kept ourselves in the fight,”
Chase Elliott, Cup champion, added. The performance at Kansas highlighted the strength of both Elliott and his pit crew, emphasizing their adaptability and skill.
Pursuing Further NASCAR Milestones
Currently, Elliott and his four contemporaries rank 39th on NASCAR’s all-time wins chart. The next targets for Elliott include Terry Labonte, who has 22 wins, followed by Ricky Rudd with 23, and both Jim Paschal and Joe Weatherly at 25 victories each. Should Elliott continue his current form this season, it is possible he could surpass more Hall of Fame inductees and continue climbing the all-time list.
Elliott’s recent success not only underlines his individual talent, but also reflects the depth of experience and effectiveness of his team, signaling the potential for further achievements in NASCAR’s premier series.
