Bill McAnally Racing Shifts Focus to NASCAR Truck Series Playoffs

Bill McAnally Racing has announced it will dedicate all resources to the NASCAR Truck Series playoffs, stepping back from the final ARCA Menards Series West races this season. The team, headquartered in Roseville, California, made the move to strengthen its pursuit of the Truck Series championship as only three races remain before a winner is crowned in 2025.

Bill McAnally Racing Withdraws from ARCA West to Prioritize Playoff Push

According to a recent team update shared on social media, Bill McAnally Racing is withdrawing from the scheduled ARCA Menards Series West events at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Bullring and Phoenix Raceway. This decision arrives ahead of the critical closing segment of the Craftsman Truck Series, where BMR fields two top entries—Tyler Ankrum in the No. 18 truck and Daniel Hemric in the No. 19.

The organization stated,

“The No. 19 BMR team will not compete in tonight’s ARCA Menards Series West race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Bullring or at Phoenix Raceway as we focus our efforts on the remainder of the NASCAR Craftsman Trucks Series playoffs. As the only organization to advance two trucks into the “Round of 8”.

Team leadership emphasized their commitment, saying,

“We want to ensure our people and all resources are 100% directed to the final three NCTS races.”

This tactical shift reflects the team’s ambition on the national Truck Series stage while confirming that BMR will return to the ARCA Menards Series West in 2026. With BMR’s withdrawal, only the Las Vegas and Phoenix races remain on the 2025 ARCA West calendar.

Spotlight Turns to Talladega as Playoff Intensity Rises

Next, Bill McAnally Racing’s playoff hopes rest on performances at the Talladega Superspeedway. On Friday, October 17, the track will host the crucial Round of 8 in the playoff battle, with the Love’s RV Stop 225 featuring 85 laps of high-stakes action. The race will air live on FOX, starting at 4 p.m. Eastern Time, and fans can also tune into SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, Channel 90, for race coverage.

This next chapter intensifies the playoff environment, as BMR stands out as the only team with two trucks still competing for the championship, demonstrating their determination by focusing every effort on the remaining events.

Rising Star Tyler Reif to Make Truck Series Debut at Phoenix

The upcoming Phoenix Raceway event will see a new contender enter the mix, as 18-year-old ARCA standout Tyler Reif joins Niece Motorsports to make his NASCAR Truck Series debut. Hailing from Henderson, Nevada, Reif is set to drive the No. 41 with support from McLaren Transport. His career highlights include a runner-up finish in the ARCA Menards Series East standings, four top-five results, and five top-ten finishes—his best run coming as a second-place finish at Watkins Glen International.

Expressing his excitement, Reif said,

“I’m really excited to race a truck for the first time, especially with it being at Phoenix with the success we’ve had there. It’s probably been my favorite track to race at. I’ve been waiting my whole life to get in a truck, so I’m really excited to finally get my opportunity with this Niece Motorsports group.”

Reif previously took the victory in his ARCA national debut at Phoenix in 2023. The Phoenix Truck Series race, held on October 31 at the one-mile oval in Avondale, Arizona, marks the season finale and will be available for fans on FOX Sports 1, along with radio broadcast on PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Implications for the 2025 NASCAR Truck Series Playoffs

With the focus now clearly on the NASCAR Truck Series playoffs, Bill McAnally Racing aims to leverage its position as the sole organization with two trucks advancing this far. As playoff rounds continue at iconic venues like Talladega Superspeedway and Phoenix Raceway, competition among names like Tyler Ankrum, Daniel Hemric, and rising star Tyler Reif intensifies. The shifting strategies, sudden driver opportunities, and relentless drive to win are setting this playoff stretch apart as one of the most thrilling in recent years. All eyes will remain fixed on the trucks, teams, and drivers as the 2025 championship draws closer to its dramatic conclusion.
