Zane Smith has agreed to a multi-year contract extension with Front Row Motorsports, ensuring that he will continue driving the No. 38 Cup car in NASCAR. This move solidifies Smith’s future with Front Row Motorsports, a key development as he wraps up his first full Cup season with the team and maintains his competitive presence in the series.
Smith’s Continued Growth with Front Row Motorsports
Smith, at 26 years old, is nearing the end of his initial Cup campaign with Front Row Motorsports and is in his second full-time season in the top NASCAR division. So far, he has achieved a personal best, securing five top-10 finishes in 2024, highlighted by a recent ninth-place run at Talladega. Entering the upcoming Cup event at Martinsville Speedway on Sunday afternoon, Smith currently holds 27th place in the overall driver standings.
Leadership Stability for the No. 38 Team
In addition to Smith’s contract announcement, Front Row Motorsports has confirmed that Ryan Bergenty will continue serving as Smith’s crew chief. The continuity is expected to provide stability and further strengthen the team’s performance moving forward.
“We’ve had an up-and-down year, but heading into the offseason, I feel like we’ve put our program in a great position to hit the ground running in 2026,”
said Smith in a statement from the team.
“Front Row has always felt like home — the people, both on the road and at the shop, truly make this a special place and I’m excited for what next season holds.”
