Kaulig Racing to Pause Xfinity Series Program in 2026

Kaulig Racing has confirmed it will pause its Xfinity Series program after the 2025 season, marking a significant change in its motorsports direction. The team’s decision, described by internal sources, comes ahead of the 2026 O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, and places the Kaulig Racing Xfinity Series pause at the center of racing news.

Team Accomplishments and Competing Drivers

Since making its full-time Xfinity Series debut in 2016, Kaulig Racing has amassed 27 victories during its decade-long run. The team, based in California, earned two regular-season championships with AJ Allmendinger in 2021 and 2022. Allmendinger also helped lead the team to two Championship 4 appearances, finishing third in 2024. Previously, Justin Haley delivered Kaulig’s first championship contention in 2020.

Neither Christian Eckes nor Daniel Dye, the team’s full-time racers for 2025, reached the playoffs this season. Eckes recorded six top-five and 15 top-10 results throughout the year. Josh Williams, once a member of the racing team, parted ways with Kaulig Racing in August, paving the way for Brenden Queen to drive the No. 11 car for several races.

Transitioning to the Craftsman Truck Series

Looking toward 2026, Kaulig Racing intends to enter the Craftsman Truck Series, running five full-time trucks in partnership with RAM. Brenden Queen, who recently joined the lineup, has already competed multiple times for Kaulig since Williams’s departure. While Daniel Dye is expected to remain with the organization, further details about additional drivers are anticipated in the future.

The team’s future may hold a return to the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series if RAM expands to the Cup Series, according to team plans. This leaves open the possibility of Kaulig Racing resuming its Xfinity Series legacy in coming years.

A Decade of Achievements and Looking Ahead

The pause brings a close, at least temporarily, to a span marked by memorable victories and championship runs for Kaulig Racing, as noted in their public gratitude to the series.
