Legacy Motor Club has announced several significant leadership changes as part of its preparations for the 2026 NASCAR season, introducing new faces and roles to strengthen its competitive position. These Legacy Motor Club leadership changes include a new crew chief, a director for race engineering, and the elevation of the current CFO to chief operating officer.
Key Appointments in Race Operations and Leadership
Justin Alexander will join the team as crew chief for the No. 43 car, bringing with him a wealth of experience from multiple playoff-level teams. Alexander has made a name for himself through his expertise in devising race strategies, focusing on performance optimization, and effective team leadership. His addition bolsters an evolving pit crew lineup, aiming to deliver strong performances on the track.
“We’re continuing to evolve and refine every part of our race program, and Justin is a tremendous addition to our crew chief lineup,”
said Jimmie Johnson, owner of Legacy Motor Club.
In a concurrent move, Ben Beshore will shift to the position of Director of Race Engineering. This transition is expected to further strengthen the technical side of the team, supporting both the drivers and crew in pursuit of greater competitive success.
An internal promotion also makes Scott Roggenbauer, who previously served as Chief Financial Officer, the new Chief Operating Officer. This adjustment places Roggenbauer in a pivotal role to oversee club operations as the organization gears up for the coming season.
Looking Toward the 2026 NASCAR Season
With these structural enhancements complete, Legacy Motor Club is turning its attention to the upcoming 2026 NASCAR season. The campaign will begin with the Cook Out Clash, scheduled to take place at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston Salem, N.C., on February 1, 2026, at 8 p.m. EST. The event will be broadcast on FOX, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90), bringing significant exposure for both the club and its new leadership.
These changes are seen as part of a long-term vision to advance the team’s presence and performance within the NASCAR Cup Series, embracing innovation and expertise as central values. The involvement of well-known industry names like Justin Alexander and the continued leadership of figures such as Jimmie Johnson and Scott Roggenbauer signify a strong commitment to setting high standards within the organization. As the season approaches, industry observers and fans alike will be watching closely to see how these new appointments impact the club’s results and strategies.
