Joe Gibbs Racing has made a significant move through a new Joe Gibbs Racing partnership announcement, revealing a multi-year agreement with Free Bird, a Southern Spring Water brand known for its lively and independent style. Starting in 2026, Free Bird will become the primary sponsor of Chase Briscoe’s No. 19 Toyota Camry for three NASCAR Cup Series events: Darlington Raceway on March 22, EchoPark Speedway on July 12, and the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL on October 11.
Leadership Comments on New Collaboration
Both organizations expressed enthusiasm about their new partnership and its potential to energize fans and strengthen connections within the NASCAR community.
“We are thrilled to help introduce Free Bird to our NASCAR community,”
said Eric Schaffer, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for Joe Gibbs Racing. He added,
“The Southern Spring Water was created to celebrate America making them a great partner for Chase Briscoe and our No. 19 team.”
Jay Williams, Founder of Free Bird, also shared his excitement about joining forces with one of NASCAR’s most recognized teams:
“Partnering with Joe Gibbs Racing is a huge milestone for Free Bird,”
Williams said.
“As a young brand, aligning with an organization that sets the standard in NASCAR is incredibly meaningful to us, and we’re proud to be part of a team that shows up prepared and performs when it matters most. We’re also grateful to K2 Sports Marketing for their leadership and partnership in helping bring this opportunity to life.”
Expanding Free Bird’s NASCAR Presence
This partnership builds on Free Bird’s steadily increasing role in NASCAR, which began when the brand secured a personal services deal with driver Chase Briscoe in October 2025. The company plans to roll out special fan experiences and in-store promotions to create stronger ties among Free Bird, Joe Gibbs Racing, and race attendees nationwide.
Chase Briscoe’s Recent Successes and Future Outlook
Chase Briscoe comes off his most successful NASCAR Cup Series season to date in 2025, notching three wins, 15 top-five finishes, 19 top-10s, seven pole awards, and leading a total of 884 laps. His playoff run included a crucial victory at Talladega Superspeedway, securing a spot in the Championship 4 and ultimately finishing third overall. Notably, Briscoe achieved back-to-back wins at the Southern 500 at Darlington in 2024 and 2025 and captured pole positions at three of NASCAR’s prestigious crown jewel races.
Briscoe Shares His Perspective on the Partnership
Chase Briscoe described the agreement as a natural fit, emphasizing the shared values between himself and the Free Bird brand.
“The partnership between JGR and Free Bird is an exciting one,”
Briscoe said.
“From the beginning, Free Bird was a natural fit for me. They are an all-American brand that has a lot of the same values that I do, so I am looking forward to having them on the car for three races this year. Darlington, Atlanta, and Charlotte are all tracks where the brand fits perfectly and I think race fans attending will enjoy seeing their cool branding around the track.”
What the Partnership Means for Fans and NASCAR
The collaboration between Joe Gibbs Racing and Free Bird is expected to enhance fan involvement both at the racetrack and in local retail environments. Race fans can anticipate more interactive experiences, while both organizations aim to grow their presence and connections within the NASCAR community. The Joe Gibbs Racing partnership announcement marks a promising chapter for the team, Free Bird, and the sport, with anticipation building for their joint appearances throughout the 2026 season and beyond.
