The NASCAR Truck Series St. Petersburg event makes history on Saturday as the OnlyBulls Green Flag 150 brings 36 trucks to the streets, marking the series’ first-ever race on a street course, and the first NASCAR-sanctioned race in St. Petersburg. This competition is also the third event in the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season and the opening round of four planned road course races.

NASCAR Takes Over St. Petersburg with a Historic Street Race

For the first time, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will navigate a street circuit, transforming the renowned Streets of St. Petersburg into a racetrack with top talent and plenty of anticipation. This unprecedented race signals the sport’s embrace of new venues and racing formats, aiming to engage fans with a fresh setting in 2026.

Notable Drivers and New Faces in the Field

Although recent winner Kyle Busch—who claimed victory last week at EchoPark Speedway—is not racing, his truck will compete, piloted this weekend by Connor Mosack. Several high-profile names from other racing series highlight the entry list, such as Dario Franchitti, a former NTT IndyCar Series competitor, who will drive the No. 1 Dollar Tree Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for TRICON Garage. James Hinchcliffe, also an ex-IndyCar driver, steps behind the wheel of the No. 77 Delaware Life Chevrolet Silverado RST, representing Spire Motorsports.

Colin Braun, a recognized name from a one-off IndyCar appearance, will drive the No. 25 RAM 1500 for Kaulig Racing at this event. Additionally, road course specialists like Carter Fartuch—a Skip Barber Driving School instructor—are poised to test their skills, with Fartuch entering in the No. 2 Ford F-150 for Team Reaume.

Ben Maier, celebrated as a Trans Am TA2 winner and the zMAX CARS Tour Pro Late Model division’s defending champion, adds further depth to the competition while representing Niece Motorsports in the No. 4 Chevrolet Silverado.

Returning and Rising Drivers

Adam Andretti, brother to former NASCAR Cup Series competitor John Andretti, returns to the Truck Series after a strong 12th-place finish at EchoPark Speedway. He lines up in the No. 5 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for TRICON, eager to maintain his momentum on this novel circuit.

The roster features a mix of established and emerging talent, including Connor Mosack in the No. 7 for Spire Motorsports, Jackson Lee piloting the No. 22 machine for Team Reaume, Tyler Reif in the No. 42 for Niece Motorsports, Landen Lewis in the No. 45 for Niece Motorsports, Derek White behind the wheel of the No. 69 for MBM Motorsports, and Nathan Nicholson in the No. 76 for Freedom Racing Enterprises.

What the Entry List Means for the Series

This weekend’s OnlyBulls Green Flag 150 sets the stage for a unique blend of experience and fresh talent on unfamiliar ground, offering unpredictable outcomes and heightened excitement for fans. The involvement of former IndyCar drivers, proven road course experts, and returning NASCAR stars like Adam Andretti underlines the cross-discipline appeal of the event.
