Tyler Reddick Phoenix performance takes center stage this week as Reddick, driver for 23XI Racing, prepares to test his winning momentum in the desert. Following an incredible start to the NASCAR season—clinching victories in the first three races, a feat last seen in 1949—Reddick now looks to build on this streak at Phoenix Raceway, a track where consistent success has eluded him.
History at Phoenix Presents New Challenge
Despite dominating laps at venues like Circuit of the Americas, where he led 58 of 95 laps last Sunday, Phoenix remains a hurdle for Reddick. In his twelve prior appearances at the Arizona track, he has yet to claim the checkered flag, averaging a 17.8 finish. His best performances include a third-place result in the spring 2022 event and a sixth-place in the 2024 season finale, with a total of four top-10 finishes over his career in Phoenix.
Mood and Momentum Shape Expectations in the Desert
Carrying momentum from his historic NASCAR run, Reddick has expressed both determination and realism as he enters Phoenix. While his stats in the desert trail his successes at other venues, the ongoing development with 23XI Racing and the car’s evolution offer cautious optimism. The team, recognizing Phoenix as a litmus test, continues to refine its strategy, especially after valuable lessons learned from Las Vegas.

Driver’s Perspective on Progress and Goals
Reflecting on Phoenix’s unique challenges, Reddick shared insights on his approach and improvements since the introduction of the current-generation car.
“Well, I know the numbers don’t necessarily — well, my experience is in spring in Phoenix. A number of years, I think dating back to even the start of this car, we’ve been able to go there and be knocking on the door,”
Reddick explained, underlining the near-miss moments at the track.
Reddick continued,
“In my opinion, we go to the spring Phoenix race, we’re typically, like, right there. For whatever reason, when we go in the fall, we’re a little bit off. But I feel like we’ve, again, kind of like we’ve done here, I’m really excited to see what we have for speed and pace over the next two weekends because we’ve worked really hard to improve things here,”
said the 23XI Racing driver.
Technical Setbacks and Path Forward
Reddick’s recent Phoenix outings have delivered their share of adversity. Last season, power steering issues derailed his March race despite running at the front. Later in the year, after exiting the Round of 12, he finished 26th in the season-ending race—marking his first winless campaign since 2021. Nevertheless, 2024 brought some redemption, as he reached the Championship 4 and finished in the top 10, demonstrating his ability to compete at the highest level under pressure at Phoenix.
Pursuing a Milestone Matched Only by Legends
Should he extend his winning streak through Phoenix, Reddick would close in on a historic NASCAR milestone, matching a record untouched since Jimmie Johnson’s four-race stretch in 2007. Many drivers have attempted to replicate such a run, but so far, none have been able to repeat the feat. Reddick’s pursuit not only draws attention to his own career but also puts his team’s technical progress under the spotlight.
What Lies Ahead for Reddick and 23XI Racing
With the Phoenix race looming, the No. 45 team is doubling down on its revised strategy, hoping recent improvements at venues such as Las Vegas will translate to success in Arizona. Reddick’s mindset, ebullient yet grounded by past results, leaves an air of anticipation around his performance in the desert and the possibility of etching his name alongside NASCAR legends. The coming weekends will serve as a critical measure of whether momentum and preparation can finally yield victory for Tyler Reddick at Phoenix.
