Team Honda HRC Dominates Ironman National: Team Honda HRC blew away the competition at the Ironman National in Crawfordsville, Indiana, showing how skilled and determined they are. This added to their already impressive 2023 season. Hunter Lawrence won the Gary Jones Motocross Cup and AMA Pro Motocross 250 National Championship. His brother and partner, Jett Lawrence, became famous by winning all 22 motos in a flawless season. Chase Sexton followed closely. He and Jett Lawrence raced hard in both 450 motos to finish second.
Hunter Lawrence started poorly in 250 Moto 1, finishing 17th after the first lap. Despite a setback, he passed his primary adversary, Justin Cooper, and entered the top 10 within seven laps. He won the title after finishing fifth on the last run. In Moto 2, he was more careful and came in ninth, which put him fifth overall.
In the 450 class, Jett Lawrence won both motos with brilliant movements and speed. Jett started Moto 1 well, with a lead he couldn’t lose. He was finishing over six seconds ahead of Sexton. Jett started the second moto with a mistake, but he recovered and grabbed the lead, which he kept despite Sexton’s efforts.

After their series success, the Lawrence brothers and Sexton qualified for the 2023 SuperMotocross Finals, a three-round series. It’s crazy to think that what we’ve done puts us in the same company as stars like Ricky Carmichael and James Stewart.”
Chase Sexton said about his achievement, “It was a hard outdoor season, but I gave it my all and know I did everything I could.”
Hunter Lawrence said, “It was ours to lose, and I’m pumped we brought it home.”
Team Manager Lars Lindstrom commented, “A dream season this year. No season will ever be as good as this.” And Team Honda HRC’s 2023 season will still be one of the greatest. The squad is excited about the SuperMotocross Finals and more chances to make an impact.
