Xtreme Raceway Park Roars to Victory at IHRA Division 4 Finals!

Xtreme Raceway Park won again at the IHRA Division 4 Summit Teams Finals, supported by Compressed Air Supercharging and a lot of fun. At the exciting event, Xtreme’s best team beat Amarillo Dragway by eight fantastic points. Edinburg Motorsports Park, Xtreme’s second team, came in second. The Little River Dragway, the Paris Dragstrip, and the Penwell Knights Raceway also led the race.

Individual class winners have now won their prized spots at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals, held at Holly Springs Motorsports Park from October 5th to 7th. The world will get to see what these drivers are capable of.

In the Top (Box) final, two great drivers from Xtreme Raceway Park raced against each other. Brent Lancaster won an exciting race. He finished the track in just 5.57 seconds at an incredible speed of 125.63 mph, close to his 5.56 dial-in. Billy Simpson, his competitor, made the race hard for him, but he won with a run of 5.534 seconds at 130.78 mph on a dial-in of 5.54. Lancaster had a slight lead of 008 to 015 at the start line, enough to win.

D.J. Ray from the Paris Dragstrip took first place in the Mod (No Box) category. Ray did an outstanding job. He finished with a time of 6.194 seconds and a speed of 109.14 mph, the same as his dial-in of 6.19. Amarillo’s Leslie Grissom Jr. fell behind because Ray got off to a fast start at 067. Grissom’s skill was displayed when he got his dial-in of 5.91 at a speed of 117.98 mph.

Aaron Jordan did almost an excellent job for Xtreme Raceway Park in the Sportsman final. His opponent, Jason Hildebrant from Edinburgh, made a mistake at the start, so he had a better start than Jason Hildebrant. Jordan was in complete control of the race, so he drove his Chevrolet pickup truck smoothly down the track to get his well-deserved Ironman prize.

Even the Hildebrants had a reason to celebrate. Tate Hildebrant won the last Junior Dragster race with a fantastic run of 7.957 seconds at 80.01 mph, close to his 7.90 dial-in. His incredible 030 response time showed how skilled he was. Michael Barker from Amarillo came in second with a run of 8.30 seconds at 82.55 mph and a reaction time of 062.

In the Motorcycle races, Little River Dragway’s Michael Turman was the best. Throughout the weekend, he won all three races. Turman did a great job. He won the Gamblers and Race of Champions events and ended with a stunning 5.762-second run at 120.32 mph on a 5.74 watch. He was ahead of William Keele Jr. of Edinburg at the starting line by 013 to 024, which was the winning point. By coming close to his dial-in, Keele showed how accurate he was. On a 5.74-second clock, he won the race in 5.757 seconds, going 117.37 miles per hour.

Besides the fierce fight, the event brought people together and taught them how to be good sports. The Gamblers race, the Race of Champions, and the special awards that were given out made the busy weekend even more fun and exciting.

The fact that Xtreme Raceway Park did so well at the IHRA Division 4 Summit Teams Finals proves they are the best drag racing team in the world. People can’t help but think that these great racers will do more exciting things on the track at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals.
