Drive for Diversity 2024: Unveiling NASCAR’s Talented New Class!

Drive for Diversity 2024: NASCAR and Rev Racing declared the 20th anniversary Drive for Diversity Driver Development Class for 2024 after the Advance Auto Parts Drive for Diversity Combine held in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Brandon Thompson, NASCAR’s VP of Diversity and Inclusion, expressed excitement about the talented group, believing they will enrich NASCAR’s talent pool and contribute to their development.

Andrés Pérez de Lara and Lavar Scott headline the 2024 class. Pérez de Lara, with Rev Racing in the ARCA Menards Series, secured a runner-up spot in the 2023 championship. Scott, transitioning from the ARCA Menards Series East to the national tour, achieved significant finishes in the 2023 season.

Joining them are a group of promising drivers like Nathan Lyons, returning to Rev Racing’s INEX Legend Car Series, and Eloy Sebastián López Falcón, entering the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series after a successful stint in NASCAR Mexico Challenge Series.

Lanie Buice, TJ DeCaire, and Regina Sirvent are also part of Rev Racing for the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series. Buice, a prolific karting race winner, displayed a strong record in the late model division. DeCaire, a three-time winner in 2023 across different racing series, aims for continued success. Meanwhile, Sirvent, known for her achievements in the NASCAR Mexico Challenge Series, aims to make an impact.

Cassidy Keitt and LaQuan McCoy Jr. join the INEX Legend Car Series program for Rev Racing in 2024. Keitt showcased solid performances at Charlotte Motor Speedway, while McCoy clinched victories in the Cookout Summer Shootout and the 2023 Winter Heat championship at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

This new class adds to the prestigious roster of Drive for Diversity alumni, including NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson, Xfinity Series champion Daniel Suárez, Cup Series race winner Bubba Wallace, and 2022 ARCA Menards Series champion Nick Sanchez.
